Gallas 34, Nelson 34, King 1 knee. Bloody hell. Great shout out to JJ for calling Nelson. I'd have quicker put money on us bring rsol back!

Let's be realistic though, Nelsen is a more realistic 5th choice cb than Bassong. But like I said I'll be very surprised if he actually ever plays for spurs.

But TBH we always seem to have 1-2 CB injured so he will probably be on the bench and often will come on. We have had to use Bassong several times so we're going to be using Nelson as well.

Surely there are better "cheap" targets?

We have to make a go of Gio now. I hate the wee Mexican tramp, but he is perhaps our best option to cover the wings in an Emergency. Need to get working with him.[/quote]

Yeah of course we would rather have Caulker, but he could really do with good regular games at a very nice decent team than getting a few run outs for us. Long term thats the better option. I don't get Nelsen at all if Bassong is going on loan, can only assume some kind of future price has been agreed that reflects his January value.

We've clearly not made top moves, but I'll try and stay clear minded and save the apoplexy for if we don't sort ourselves in the summer. Considering JJ's new solid gold rep, it sounds like we could have much to look forward to...

Nelson - pointless.

Would much rather we recalled Caulker ...

Not so.

Caulker needs to be playing games. I shouldn't think we'll see much of Nelson on the pitch, just insurance in case three of our four cb's are injured.

Can anyone find what JJ said about the summer signings? I remember some good names, but did he just say we're trying or that we are close to tying some up early?

In fairness, Gio is the only fast winger we have to back up Lennon or Bale, after loaning out Townsend.

Don't expect him to do anything, but we'll have to hope he puts in a shift now, seeing as we haven't got anyone else.
