Regarding the desire for a number ten, I was hugely impressed with Holtby last night. Granted the opposition were not great, but his willingness to dictate our rhythm in the danger areas was a sign of the player so hyped whilst still in Germany. It appears the early arrival and a return to International duty at the U21 tournament, has got him up to speed now, and we should see the best of him. Great vision last night, desire to be on the ball and move it quickly to lift the tempo, also a drive to win the ball back high up the pitch, all AVB style tactics.
And a cracking shot on him too

Coentrao is the missing piece of the jigsaw now, just hope we can get him, looks to me like he's stringing it out hoping that a CL club come in for him or a club prepared to pay big wages, looks like a deadline day deal to me!

I really want to see us lifting some silverware this year and with the squad we've assembled/assembling then we can have no excuses for not being competitive on all fronts this year.

Agree. Lifting silverware on some degree will install a winning mentality. Even if it's something as 'disregarded' as the Capital one cup. I still fancy us for Europa though.

As it happens, there is a back entrance to the training ground, I've driven past it enough times. I'm always amazed that none of the press seem to have picked up on it!
People, even in this day & age, tend to keep schtum about the back entrance. Except A&C obviously.

Wow, this window has been just truly amazing.

It all comes down to how the team gels, off the pitch I think that's fine as we seem to have an awesome 'togetherness'.

If things starts to click quicker than we expect on the pitch, I fear no-one in this league and see us as amongst the title challengers.

Only weak points immediately in the first team is LB, so it's very important to try and bring in Coentrao.

If we're really going to be really demanding I'd like another striker cover in.
I think we have bought some top spec professional footballers who are gonna gel like...like...like...something that gels really fucking quickly. Like. (y)

Trust me, there will be a game where we suddenly just click. I feel fucking sorry for that team we're playing.

On topic, Coentrao is definitely worth the money. Surprised Baldini doesn't think so. I'm all for him finding us a better option but as pointed out there's a massive dearth of quality LB's in world football.

This transfer window is rapidly turning my british accent into a dutch -Jol style accent. I think it must be a cool vibes from the team.

We just need to resign Fan Da Fart...and of course........where the fuck is the Edgar Davids smiley face these days?????

I have my doubts about coentrao, but let's just get him in, he's still an upgrade in that posish and the clock is ticking in earnest.

Actually there are 3 entrance ways and 1 further being developed

He isn't the best defensively (still an upgrade on anything we've got) but he makes it count big time when he gets forward. Rose for all the hype surrounding his forward play puts in a lot of shit crosses in and is generally wasteful in the final third.

I think if we can just train our LM or LWF to help Rose out and give him an easy option he won't have to try anything tricky / stupid. And maybe a run of games might bring him on enough to be good enough.

yep, JJ seems to win the ITK battle this window. Awesome pieces of information. (Most likely) Some will have to eat their balls, turd or hat ;)

Btw I don't think another striker is absolutely necessary. I would like to see someone like Rodrigo instead of Ade but it will be so difficult even to put some on the bench. Soldado will play everytime he is fit in the league, Defoe next and if we are in big injury trouble we can survive with Lamela/ Chadli/ Kane upfront until January. A decent LB is more important.
