Wenger.

Willian's our last bit of business and now Wenger can frantically scurry around picking up any shitty scraps left over.

I thought more along the lines of we've got our deals lined up, mean Will is not the last. The arse are has beens and we rule London

ali z: Should be announced this evening, expect him on the bench at best on Sunday. (willian)

oh and £12 donated :)

AVB always starts new signings on the bench if they don't arrive during pre-season. Guess it would be the same for Willian, although he is/was AVB's dream signing. Hopefully its not in a desperate situation to get back in the game/take the lead.

Although it would be nice for him to come on when we're winning.

Would be great if it's 0-0 60 mins in and he comes on and transforms the game and grabs an assist or two.

Surely somewhere on SO, FTL or COYS, there's been a snippett or two? Get out and do some whoring and don't come back until you've got some proper ITK. This is worse than a death by a thousand cuts.

Fucks sake.

This. Come on chaps and chapesses, my missus has gone back into hospital for the third time in three weeks and I'm in need of good news to cheer me up.

This is all getting very exciting, Willian coming in and Bale looking like staying? With more to come?! I'm hoping for a left back and another striker and to shift Ade and Benny.

Fuck me, is this the window where it's actually happening after so man false dawns?

Someone fucking pinch me to make sure I'm not dreaming! :D

Also didn't AVB say Bale was having a scan yesterday or day before, maybe he'll elaborate more on the situation now as he said we would know more from the scan.

What happens if Real pull the plug on the Bale deal? Would we have spent more than we can afford?

He said he was having a clearing session, which I think is just a light training session used to judge the general fitness of a player and assess if they are over an injury.

Levy would have thought about that scenario, in which case, no. He hasn't stretched us financially up to now, no reason to think he'd completely change his style now, despite how it appears.

I don't think it effects the incomings, we might be in the red for this season but it seems we have scraped enough together from previous years for the funds to be available. The £50m from Uncle Joe has helped as well. I can't see us spending another £60m though, I think Willian will be closer to £25m than £30m....€30m maybe.

We'd be in the red for a season or two. The same thing happened under H when, in sorting the mess left by Wendy and DiCk, we went £70m odd into the red. We didn't start really recouping that until the summer of 2011. FFP might make us speed things up a bit but eh.

Since there seems to be a slight drought of ITK (compared to yesterday), perhaps i could entertain you with the short Q&A Jasper had after the ITK posted in update 297:

Jasper (update 297): Bale's situation is very simple. The club made a statement that he is not for sale. I posted upon what I heard similar. RM simply have to put the money on the table, and as of today confirmation was being sought from a financial authority regardless of what others are saying. I pm'd a few on Friday with developments and it was expected to of been public knowledge of sale by now.

That has not happened and RM would love the world to believe it is the club being difficult when actually it is not. From the staff's position they rather him go and move on. The spend was not and is not dependent on Bale either staying or going. If he stays they still want to pursue Lamela. For those who want to question the validity of this all I can say is you can take it with a ton of salt or appreciate that this has not just been shared in good faith but from as far as I am concerned highly reliable sources.

Q: hi jasper. Really appreciate you sharing. You say the bale situation is simple and the club says he's not for sale. Then it goes a bit fuzzy. Can I confirm bale is not for sale?

J: They will sell if they get their price on their terms.

Q: I'd happily not sell. But we won't be f**ked jasper, financially if g bale is not sold?

J: No we will not be! I personally do not believe he will be sold simply because it is all hot air from RM, but they as of today and many unfulfilled promises do not have the money.

so we've signed four players so far, practically five now. we could end up with 10 at this rate.

Next board meeting DL "Good news lads, a gentleman called Mr Ridsdale called. Apparently I can spend money now by relying on potential future earnings. All you have to do is win the Champions League, the Premier League and something called the Superbowl next season for us to break even. Anyway, byeeee!"
