Hi all.

I am the poster that posted the info yesterday that came from the Villa side of things, and the gist I got was that and awful lot of talk had been going on and I have to point out the numbers that I mentioned yesterday were estimations from his side based on what he had been told

Dad won't know exact numbers but said it would be in the region of 18mil +25% + Add ons. He thinks it's the big % that is causing the problem, because it may cost Spurs quite a lot more than the straight up fee."

There was no mention of any bid's or anything just that the "extra's" were where we were having trouble.

For those that don't know me I have been a Spurs fan for 30+ years, a COYS member since day one(with 14000 odd posts) and have never had any Spurs related info in my lifetime (although I have posted on COYS very small bits re Villa's financials in the past). Anyway I am now taking them out Sunday (better tides) and will milk him all day for anything I can get. I am not ITK, never have been, and never likely to be where Spurs are concerned (sadly). I'm purely making the most of a situation where a guy with high up Villa connections has asked me for a favour, and I have passed it on.

A terrible distortion of reality. If you want to take it to another thread I'll argue it with you.

Would there really be any point arguing with you? Your statement that my opinion is a "distortion of reality" suggests you know the reality, or are so convinced by your belief of what is reality that nothing I say will make you see your perceived reality any differently

Now I don't mind having an argument about the merits of different views and opinions but when someone's mind is so sure there seems little point, unless of course you are Daniel Levy and want to explain the reality and give your side to it, but if you aren't then I'll pass but feel free to post your own opinions, it's always interesting to hear other views even if I may not agree with them

Got banned for posting "unbelievable jeff".... Then my account suspended for arguing that JJetset is a top ITK.... Gotta laugh really!

As for Benteke, just can't see this one not dragging on for ages. If benteke is set on signing for us, levy will be leaning on Villa knowing they will have to sell for a good while yet. Hope am wrong though!

Were talking to the agent probably to agree terms with the player. Theres no point bidding if he wont agree terms! Maybe they're talking to AV about a suitable price ect before they bid aswell who knows.
