Over 40k posts on FTL he's not stopped posting, he just doesn't tend to get involved with ITK anymore, whether that's because his source is no longer at the club or that he can't be bothered with it who knows, but I'm fvcked if I could ever have a scooby about his cryptic posts so my mind rests easier

Depends on what type of midfielder we are talking about. A playmaker and quality passer to fill the Modric like hole would be good. If we are just going to buy another DM (when we already have Sandro and Capoue) or another Dembele/Paulinho type, then what's the point? We have far more pressing concerns.

How on earth can you think our Midfield of capoue, sandro, dembele, paulinho, sigurdson, ericksen, and an up and coming carrol, is our weakest link is beyond me. I doubt we can do much better than that with our current wage structure, and no CL football on offer. It may not have performed as it should but the individuals we have there, are more than a match for most PL sides.

I think you will find our Defence and our Attack are our weak points, in that order.

Our midfield is good, and overstocked!!

If we are looking at other midfielders, it would suggest we are looking to move at least a couple on..

What our midfield lacks is leadership (Cambiasso), and some on the ball quality and guile (Banega).. Those two things are very important I believe - Parker and Modric were an awesome pairing, no one got near them. Same for Davids and Carrick.

I can see Dembele being moved on, and it looks like Sandro too. Obv this is all guess work as we're all thinking Poch will play as he has before, but maybe he won't, who knows?

While our defence is obv a weakness, I do think that getting the right balance in midfield is a key area, we have numbers there, but do we have the right players? I'm not so sure.

agree 100% give it one more season, I think next year its going to kick on big time
