And contractual obligation, even if that were in place, wouldn't stop Mourinho from telling Pepe to have his sister's brother's mailman who knows Costa's son's biology teacher what the price actually was. Or we can just say one word that would negate the theory: agents. It's a silly idea that we would be trying to manipulate this.
Would Levy try to use this price in the public domain to his advantage? Sure. Why not. But that would be the extent of it.
The information in your scenario would be hearsay and surely the agents would also be covered by the contract as well (in my hypothetical contract... anyone who questions my interpretation of the hypothetical contract can fuck off, it's my hypothetical contract so it says what I think it says).
