I agree, quite a few seem to question him nowadays though after the blue and yellow & especially on transfers. For me he's still up there with the best of them though.

He does, but from some of the posts on here you'd think we can't rely on him to play a single game. He's an England International, but he's spoken about like he's only fit to play for a Championship team. If the ITK is correct and we don't have any other strikers due to arrive before Newcastle then it's not really the end of the world. It's not ideal, and I'm sure we'd all prefer Ade, but if Defoe stays he will have to play in AVB's system sometime.
