MILLWALL LATEST
Championship side Millwall announce they have extended the loan spell of England Under-21 right-back Adam Smith from Tottenham until the end of the season
If it's true that we actually really want to sign LD, and have genuinely put bids in, it absolutely beggars belief that we're trying to wrap up what has been described by everyone and his dog as a "very difficult deal" on the last day of the bloody transfer window.
I'm a big Levy fan, and obviously the vast majority of us have no idea what's actually going on inside the club, but there's been too much info about our interest in LD for it all to be wrong, IMHO. At the end of the day, we are (these days) a regular top 4/5 side and - apparently - were minutes away from paying around £20m for Moutinho in the summer, so money is there for the right player.
Apologies for the moan but strikers are expensive for a reason, and if we want to be a CL regular and challenging for the title - which is a real prospect with a few additions - then at some point we're going to have to pay the going rate for a top, top striker.

Damiao, who has 14 caps for Brazil, caught the eye as he finished top scorer in the 2012 Olympic Games with six goals but then struggled for form and fitness during the Brazilian domestic season last year.

So then, we know who we're signing. Everyone happy with Negredo? Of course not. We're never happy.Ballbag says we're not in for Negredo on SSN
