People keep saying "knows the PL" but he's a keeper, what difference does it REALLY make?
I remember Gomez joined us after a fantastic season for PSV. Then he made a bunch of clangers for us.

He said in an interview that the amount that the ball came to him was so much more often and took a while to get used to.

Prof on COYS:

Not only working on gk and mid. Initial list of cb targets cut down to those approved by Ange. Two approaches made so far - one young and promising, the other a little older and more experienced. If they seem doable we’ll negotiate. If not we’ll move on. Would like 3 new defenders for the squad - number depends on outgoings. Ange bullish he can coach up some of our youngsters and a few of our under performers which is music to the boss’s ears. Lol
great to hear, which likely means that Dier, Sanchez and Tanganga (Rodon of course) are on their way out
edit - sh*t, didn't notice this...

Was dreading this ngl

I get why people are apprehensive about this, but it's pretty normal for new managers to come in and want to improve existing players through coaching. Poch did it for us, and we've seen how Ten Hag, Arteta and Howe have improved underperforming players recently.

Surely a key part of backing the manager is giving him leeway to try and improve our existing players? We have a lot of unfulfilled talent in our squad and i'm excited to have a manager who recognises that rather than one who just demands a load of new players.

I know Trix has said N'Dombele, but there have been a whole host of good but underperforming players this past season it could be referring to.

I think his problem wasn't the ball going to him it was the ball going past him

You're right, but I suspect that after reading "good but underperforming" a majority of us thought of the same player.

his career at Tottenham was summed up in a few seconds against Chelsea when he saved a penalty then promptly got up and fouled the same player
I thought he did that against someone like Blackpool or Hull and it was Lloris that did it against Chelsea, although after going to VAR a second penalty wasn’t given.

Ndombele I can live with. GLC is ok as I think he fits Ange's system well. Sess I'd be ok with.

If it's Dier or Winks though...
