Sounds to me like RWB (Spence the favourite), AM (Eriksen the favourite) and 1x CB (Bremer the favourite) are the definites.

Then it will either be 2x forwards, or 1x forward plus another centre back depending on who we can get. If we get a Richarlison type who can play up top and on the wing then we just get him for the forward line and bring in a LCB. If we go for more a Scamacca type who is more of an out and out striker, then we’ll need to bring in another winger and use Bremer as our LCB.

Bit of a jigsaw. Let’s hope Paratici isn’t left looking for the missing piece under the sofa.

The other thing to bear in mind is that any first teamers who leave will also need to be replaced (or at least that's what we're led to believe by the reports around Conte's demands). So if Bergwijn, Reguilon, Moura or others leave, we'll be looking for replacements in addition to the list that you gave (which I agree with).

Disagree. The ITK says we want 2 x CBs, 1 x RWB, 1 x CAM, and 1 x forward. If we sign players in those positions Sanchez, Rodon, Reguilon, Tanganga, Emerson, Winks, Lo Celso, Ndombele, Bergwijn etc. will all be redundant and not need further replacements .

we’d have …

2 x GKs
2 x RWBs
5 x CBs
2 x LWBs
4 x CMs
5 x Stikers / CMs

The numbers do sound crazy for Martinez but given our injection of cash and the fact we've been smart, we may be able to cover the cost of the players we sign besides Martinez with the 150 along with the cost of Romero and then use the cash from sales of 4/5 players to cover the Martinez Fee.

Bissouma - 35 mill
Forster - Free
Perisic - Free
Eriksen - Free
Spence - 20 Mill
Bremer - 30 Mill

That's at 85 mill so plenty to cover the Romero fee with a bit left over.

Read the update from WLB in the RO about four more in - FWD, Eriksen, Spence, Bremer - and couldn’t help thinking we ideally need two CBs to make the squad fully complete.

So I was delighted to read the subsequent @Hercules update saying that’s exactly what we’re looking at.

You gloriously beautiful bastard, Herc.

I think Trix mentioned earlier the Romero transfer fee agreement is structured payments so the whole transfer fee is not due to be paid in one single payment

Just read A&C's reprimand in the Ticker thread and I most humbly apologise for my fat finger/thumb. I would never knowingly click on that icon. Really sorry to all who I've offended . ☹️

For me, this window has been a revelation. Dear Leader has seemingly taken a back seat, let Conte and Paratici decide on the signings and only steps in on the big value signings. We have also made the signings early and are looking to get them all in before pre-season. I'm so looking forward to the next few weeks, and hope that the Eriksen ITK comes off, with the beasts around him he'll be brilliant!

1. Free's do not mean £0 expenditure - there are signing on fees, agent fees etc.

2. We do not need to trigger Kulusevski's permanent deal until next summer, and it could be a tactical delay.

3. We can also sell Sanchez (£25M), Rodon (£15M), Winks (£15m), Lo Celso (£25M), Ndomable (£20M), Bergwijn (£25M), Ermerson (£25M), Reguilon (£25M) .. there's som bargains to be had there and despite low prices it still brings in £175M (more than double what we have spent before the £150M cash injection). I expect some big signings in th enext three weeks.

CL clubs like Villeareal, Atletico, Leipzig. Porto, Ajax, Napoli will want to strengthen and have some funds. PL teams like Newcastle, West Ham, Leicester, Villa etc. will also be looking to strengthen. and have money.

I think the striker market is possibly the reason why we've started moving towards Bremer who looks fantastic but at a lower price.

I'd guess Richarlison and Raphinha are probably the cheapest of our striker targets and they'd still be £50m+.

I imagine the true shortlist probably was as follows:

Lautaro
Nunez
Osimhen
Nkunku

It's now clear you're not getting much change out of €100m for any of them, if even available.
Yeah agreed. We obviously want a big impressive name. Really limit the drop in quality.
The money seems to be there, particularly with a few outgoings. Particularly with a cheaper LCB target.

Long ass update sorry to bore

Been told Negotiations for 5 high /good profile forwards with reps . some are already out there some not in the mainstream media all will join us ! we will sign one conte would be happy with any one of them but does have a preference . Sorry for being so vague here I try not to be it’s just sensitive right now I have mentioned a couple on the forum

eriksen still confident he’s coming we should here soon either way ! Martin and Daniel have had great talks about his return.

Spence early next week will be key I was told confident again players desperate to come here negotiations are advanced .

In talks with a few defensive options
Bremer currently at the front and trying to reach an agreement numbers been told around 30 million there is some politics at board level but can be overcome .

loads of interest in Lo celso, Emerson, winks , rodon and Sanchez nothing satisfying atm but we have told the players we will find the best solution’s for them

Hoping for 4 more before the window ends with the 3 brought in .
Why the fk haven’t we been operating like this for the last decade!! Great update

All transfers are like that, but if the fee is £45m then we have a liability of £45m.

Cracking window so far, I'm sure someone has probably said it already but it reminds me on the Bale money window. Where we bought in 7 new faces, at least this time, we are keeping the crown jewels!

Goat cryptic!

“Hearts will play tippy tappy tay”.

Think it’s from that’s amore which is a song about Napoli by dean Martin - Dries Mertens?
