If DL could do a deal for Diame at circa £3.5M and move Livermore on for a similar (or better still larger) sum I would be delighted. A big upgrade in player quality for nothing should appeal to his dealing instincts.

If Diame really is better than Livermore it begs the question why didn't we sign him for free this summer ?

Because Sandro wasn't injured then presumably and AVB was still clinging on to the desperate hope that maybe, one day Levy would let him sign Moutinho. I imagine he's had that optimism knocked out of him now

I think we were a bit more confident about Livemore, at that stage, after doing relatively well last season. Since then its become more apparent that he needs to develop more, IMO anyway, and that's better served on loan given our need to remain very competitive.

It would have to be Xerdan Shaqiri....not possible with that name, seeing as it could be done with Meh'ssi, Meh'dely King or even Ibrahi'meh'vic for example.

Good point and i hold my hands up i made a mistake with the S****horpe info, i read it wrong i'm afraid.
However, all i'm saying is that i just don't think he's the answer to our striker issue - its completely my opinion of course.

I agree that Hooper simply isn't the answer to anything right now. If we were selling Defoe and bringing him in as his replacement then ok, but i just don't see where Hooper fits in to our current team.
