Clutching at straws, there are 10 deal sheets being processed by the Premier League which gives clubs til 7pm.

- As far as I can tell, 21,000 season tickets are still available at the same prices as the 21,000 tickets that were sold for the last season at WHL. The difference is all in the extra 20,000 season tickets, of which some are cheaper but most are more expensive (I think about a 30/70% split). This is obviously going to raise the average ticket price in terms of the mean, but I think you'll find that the mode is not dramatically different to what it is. However, on the basis that ticket prices are expensive, that's nothing to do with who we sign. It's everything to do with supply and demand, with the fact that our ground has just been built so has the most state of the art facilities to run and, by default, the most expensive facilities to run, the fact that our ground, apart from Ashburton Grove, is on the most expensive plot of land rates wise in the entire country, and the fact that the product available next season, a club in the Champions League with some of the best players in the country, England captain included, is one of the top products in the country. Think of it like this, it is far more expensive run a shop selling fine chocolate in Hampstead, even if you never change the stock for something different, than it is to sell Dairy Milk one week, Galaxy the next and Mars the next from an equally sized shop in Salford. The cost of my season ticket and all the others is everything to do with a simple equation involving runnings costs, demand for product and scarcity of the product and absolutely nothing to do with what transfers we make.
- We hover around top 3 at least based on the last 3 seasons of 3rd, 2nd, 3rd.
- I can't comment on that because, like everyone else here, I haven't the foggiest.
Anyway, I've had a fun day, I hope all you lot who have doh'd and spammed the hell out of me also have, it's all one big panto really and we all play our roles very well. I for one am disappointed that we haven't strengthened and concerned it will bite us in the bum, but am hoping that it doesn't and that the excellent players and manager we have will be able to deliver another fine season. COYS.
(Fact) As of Tuesday we was expecting 2 players in. Only this morning did we pull out of all deals.
(Opinion) I believe DL will clear the decks with VJ, GKN and whoever else by the end of this month. Then try to make a signing in Jan. not ideal but financially probably realistic based on not being stuck with players who won’t be part of the squad yet still earning wages burning down their contracts.
What a shitshow.
It doesn’t. The Deloitte rankings are stupid but they rank simply by revenue not profits or other measures of wealth. How does revenue work with debts, outgoings, liabilities ... those sorts of things?
I don’t think I want to know.At least we deserve to know which top players we were targeting or tapping this window.
Because I am starting to think there were NONE actually.

Am I the only one not surprised? I keep telling you Daniel is out of his depth in negotiating at the top table. Don’t get me wrong (some have). He is bril on the stadium and everything else he has done and the records show that. But he is now living on his past glories on transfer deals. Madness is to keep on doing the same thing and expecting a different result? He didn’t even get a Sissoko this time....thank god?
Thanks Breezer. If our deadwood has impacted us so much it is baffling that Levy hasn't cleared it up previously. His tactic of buying cheap lottery tickets (low outlay, high potential) has really ducked us up, and for nothing else, us not buying more of that kind of players is the only positive thing to take away from this window. What a mess.
1) No, but it has got everything to do with expectation. As per your chocolate analogy, you don't pay more to buy a Bentley and expect the same experience as a Merc/BMW. I would have thought Stamford Bridge would be on more expensive plot of land but it seems like you have done your research. Also don't forget the cost of the season tickets only include PL games so not sure about your 21,000 seats costing the same as before. Anyway those are minor points.
2) Was talking about the coming season onwards, not the past seasons.
3) Nope none of us do but likely scenario if we are left behind.
COYS! To Dare Is To Do!
The bad thing is the expectations we were given...
Had the club said all along this would be a slow window I would accept it (but disagreed)
It is always clever to Get one or two new faces in the squad just to freshen things up a bit...
Interesting that we pulled out of deals at the last minute rather than them falling through for some other reason. Wonder why.(Fact) As of Tuesday we was expecting 2 players in. Only this morning did we pull out of all deals.

Thanks for your posts this window Breezer. Look forward to more.
