No offence taken. I read it in the press mate - lots of reports are saying he's singed for the shower down the road, subject to medical.

If true, this is something we should have covered off as an unwritten clause in the Bale negotiations. EU Law means we couldn't have it in black and white in the contract agreement, but Levy should have negotiated on the basis that any players deemed surplus following the Bale sale could not be sold to our fiercest rivals. If the boggled-eyed one was available we should have had him ourselves - really struggle to see why we didn't try and move heaven and earth to prevent Real selling any castoffs to "big 4" Prem sides. While we still had a veto on the Bale deal this was something we had it in our power to effect.

You think Real would give any credence to an 'unwritten clause'? That would be worth as much as Modric's gentleman's agreement.
