So, jj supporting the left back itk. Doesn't seem to be a front runner in our known targets, maybe someone left field? Unless contrau back on?

We signed a bunch of really good players with loads of potential, but no match winners. Arsenal, United, City, Chelsea, and even Liverpool have match winners.

Really pleased to see our best ITK mentioning that we have options at left-back. It's by far our weakest position in the squad, and someone who can at least give Rose some competition would be great. It'd be even better if it was someone who was better than Rose, and there is clearly money there to buy someone in the Coentrao/Baines bracket, if the deal can be smashed out.

Does anybody think maybe we will keep some money back for January having already spend? or maybe towards the new stadium.
I hope ( and expect) that we keep some back for the stadium. We can throw all the money we want at players, but ultimately, it will be the new stadium (and associated incomes) that will take us to the next level.

I hope we don't buy anymore players TBH unless they're youth prospects, we've brought 7 in not to mention 2 returning from loans and 2 returning from long term injuries. We need to have a settled side and now we have a very good balance across the pitch.

Anyone wanting anymore players despite the business we've done is being greedy IMO, we don't need to out-do anyone, we've done our business and we've had a better transfer window than any other club this summer.

Rubbish, Danny Rose is nowhere near good enough. That should be obvious. He is a bottom half PL left back, not fit for a team that wants to be challenging near the top of the prem. Sorry.

Should of made sure we got two Madrid players in the Bale deal.

£30m plus Ozil and Coentrao would of been much better than £85m straight

the partnership was only ever about securing Bale's signature and Spurs getting as much money/exposure/time to replace him as possible.

I think it was also a gentlemans agreement to leave Bale alone for this summer.

I agree, we've got a much stronger squad than last year, and Lamela and Eriksen will be great to watch when they settle.

However, we're missing a world class game changer. We're not going to get one today, but a bit more flair and pace from one more signing would not go amiss imo.

Until you figure in that Ozil and Coentrao have free will and probably didn't want to come to us. That is beyond Real's control.

I think Pereira bares watching as an option for us. AVB clearly loves ex-Porto players, irrespective of their current form, as he probably believes he can get the best out of them.

Pereira was an unused substitute for Inter yesterday, and he's fallen out of favor there. I predict he'll be the one we sign, if we do sign one.

Trying to sign a left back is almost too obvious to state. Surely no one is surprised that ITK suggests that exactly what the club think as well.

We have a world class team with a championship left flank. I wouldve expected a left back, and some moves for a LW even if no ITK had emerged regarding it

Madrid players won't come to us as we're not in the CL. If we hadn't fucked about in previous windows things would have been very different.

For years I've read this Forum and myself and others have complained about us doing late deals.

This year we've done our best business relatively early (Paulinho and Soldado) and signed players that have been targeted, not just opportunistically.

Lets all be happy with that, with a little eye open for an LB (Baines would be amazing).

Cheers Mods for trying to keep this under "some" control.
