Because it's been a massive discussion point over the past 10 years. Why are people so bothered about 'net spend'?
Because it's been a massive discussion point over the past 10 years. Why are people so bothered about 'net spend'?
But why, people moan we don't spend money, then we do and then moan about net spend. Anyway, this isn't the place to discuss net spend etcBecause it's been a massive discussion point over the past 10 years.
Probably more like £44m net...IMOTry this:
Dembele £11m - This will sit in last years figures
Trippier £22m - Yep
Janssen £7m - Yep
= £40m - No £29m
POTENTIALLY PLUS...
Nkoudou £15m - NO CHANCE
Wanyama £10m - Wont go abroad
Aurier £14m (rumoured) - No-one wants him
Edwards £15m - £15m...?? NO
Eriksen £60m - Probable but at £40m
= £40m
£29m + £40m = £69m in sales.
Ndombele £63m (incl. add ons)
Sessegnon £25m
Jack Clarke £10m
Lo Celso £60m (incl. add ons) - No the majority will be in next years figure once the loan is made perm so 15m loan fee?
= £158m in purchases. - Id say more £113m
So basically a zero net spend....
You're entitled to express your dislike of Danny Rose (although this probably isn't the thread for it) but why not get your facts right? He didn't 'refuse to do pre-season', he was left out of the travelling squad so he could find another club.
What an absolute load of bollocks. The club and player mutually agreed for him not to go on tour whilst staying back and training at the club to help him secure a transfer. He said before preseason he wanted to stay but club policy was to move players on around 30 years old. He even said he was happy to sign a new contract. What's massive about keeping Rose, the guy refused to do pre season, and is so highly thought of that Watford were the only club in for him. His stats are no better than Davies and because of injury he has played less over the last 3 seasons. I suspect he will have to sign a new deal to get ahead of Davies, especially after our outlay on Sess.
Who's gonna pay £15m for Nkoudou?Try this:
Dembele £11m
Trippier £22m
Janssen £7m
= £40m
POTENTIALLY PLUS...
Nkoudou £15m
Wanyama £10m
Aurier £14m (rumoured)
Edwards £15m
Eriksen £60m
= £114m
£114m + £40m = £154m in sales.
Ndombele £63m (incl. add ons)
Sessegnon £25m
Jack Clarke £10m
Lo Celso £60m (incl. add ons)
= £158m in purchases.
So basically a zero net spend....

Why do people insist on spouting such crap as gospel to suit their own agenda.

Who'd pay that for Iwobi...oh, wait...shit a brick?!Who's gonna pay £15m for Nkoudou?
Need a right back, so gutted that Levy didn’t recognise this obvious weakness in our squad.
Maybe Poch didn't ask for one. The last thing we want is Levy deciding what positions need strengthening.
We had ITK saying we were up for it. Atal was the name suggested. Nice publicly said he wasn't for sale, so Poch probably said he'd stick with what he's got.
