If Wolves have said we have to pay the whole fee upfront then I could see that exceeding the budget Levy gave Fabio and saying, 'nope'. Also, how many clubs out side of the oil clubs actually pay the whole fee upfront? For a fee of that size it's almost never paid upfront, I could see Levy greenlighting it if Fabio can do some clever accounting so it fits in the budget and then Wolves saying, 'fuck that give us all the money now!'

Pretty much anyone saying to just spend the money are suggesting it. There's obviously a budget that Paratici has for this window and if Levy doesn't sanction a deal it means we're going over that budget. Most likely due to Wolves insisting on payment in full. I'm sure we could make it work if it were possible to pay in installments.

You can't just make up an inference from one statement to say everyone making that statement is actually stating something you just made up. Quote someone who says what you say they're saying. Let them defend themselves if you're right.

Just a view but if I was negotiating on price, one of my tactics would be to leak out that we’re done and walking away to convince the other team to accept. I find it odd that as a club we let ITK’s communicate so much of our intentions … surely there’s a risk of impacting our position - especially as anything in here tends to end up on Twitter!

the last few hours is the hunting ground

I think best to keep to your usual policy if lurking and repping other posts posting nonsense like this

Give up your ST then. ?

PS: I'm not being flippant. I just see that you, and people who feel the same as you have 2 choices. Continue paying it and continue going to games. Or don't.

Moaning about it won't change anything.

"Moaning about it wont change anything"...thats what people used to tell me when I was little about apartheid and indeed when I was older about Poll tax.

I think its right for fans to be able to vent their displeasure at the very high prices being charged, if we dont feel that our money is being spent. The "dont pay it then" argument is a little facile imo.

Tanganga will be a CB in back 3, and Emerson/Doherty will be wingbacks. Same goes for Reggie & Sess on the left side.

Pretty balanced squad to me for 343 or 352.

Assuming that is what Trix was alluding to as to why Emerson was a key addition, then I agree we’re not a million miles away except lacking a Kane replacement (physical presence to allow others to play off), which is not new news. I’d only say we are well set if the below also comes true.

Did this make it in here?

Mike McGrath said on Romano’s show this morning that we want a striker in after Emerson today. I saw the clip on Reddit but uncertain of posting links from there in this thread.

I hope he is right and others wrong but it’s getting very late now.

I mean, actually not paying the ST is where it will show. You moaning on a forum on the internet is not going to change anything.

Did people moan about apartheid on secluded internet forums?
Think we're dangerously moving away from even Spurs transfers now.

Let's at least keep it on that level please.

Ta.

We have only scored three goals in the last three games and two of them were very fortunate, being one was a penalty and the other a free kick the keeper should have saved. I am very concerned with not having signed a creative midfielder or another striker, if both Kane & Son end up getting injured like a few years back, we are in serious trouble.

ITKs, thanks for the ride this Summer, it has been wild.

We have had a less than successful ability to spend big and get success, so I am not gutted we've not gone in on Traore, although I would have just liked to see if would have worked.

I feel we've had a good (not great) Transfer Window, we've got rid of a fair amount of deadwood and have shaved the Wage Bill. Good purchases for the near future and I believe a foundation of an exciting squad, the rebuild has started.

I think finishing 5th will be par, not sure we've done enough in the window to truly challenge for a Top 4 place, but with some luck its not beyond us.

We'd be in serious trouble even if we had backups to both of them. Kane and Son are two of the best players on the planet, there's no chance in hell we could find backups who could come close to equalling their performances.

Levy never stepped in and blocked the Romero deal.
Presumably because it’s an initial loan and the fee is deferred. Wolves want straight cash now for Traore and that’s why he’s put a stop to it. Any time a chunk of money is needed he baulks and the excuses come.
