I would be kind of alright if we just did a loan for someone who knows where the goal is. Surely there are some out there. At this point I'd even consider Deeney as back up and I don't want that really.

The club are run by misers, we knew this. But in a game that’s become a financial one this is such a problem

EDIT: keep the spams coming Levy lovers, he won’t fuck you for defending him. But he’ll happily take your money

Personally think Traore was overpriced. Just because the goat says this doesn't mean it's completely true. Could be from a source that is very anti Levy and embellished a bit.

Probably not but as always you should take caution with info.

I understand that there are some opportunities, but I really fear for those who think we've done nothing to improve the squad just because we've not signed 3 people on the last day.

Levy goes from Zero, to hero, to Zero again in a matter of weeks.
Its pantomime season in here.

It might be that Kane is only going to play league games this year. Our European escapades wont really concern him until the latter phases.

However, no backup outside of Son is criminal. We've got 2 goalscorers in our squad. Lucas, Bergwijn and Dele are all streaky.

Romano in his opinion regarded Paratici as like the best DoF in football. We do not deserve this guy. Feel like its clear he can get the players if given the freedom to, but Levy will just never change.

I really dont know why people are surprised with the Goats latest post. If you really thought he was going to be hands off all summer then you havent been following spurs.

that’s not true

I think it’s fair to assume given the growing fan backlash and poor results he had finally realised he was utterly useless on the football side of things (I think his general business skills are vastly overrated but for a different discussion) and it was time to step back - provide a fixed budget and let the professionals get on with it

So we signed:

Gollini, Gil, Romero, Sarr and about to get Emerson. Plus getting back from Loan Skipp and Sessengon back from loan. Whilst letting Hart, Sissoko, Foyth, Toby and Lamela.

Whilst also keeping Kane.

I feel like if you offered a lot of us that at the start of the TW we'd have been relatively happy with it. I'm still relatively happy with it. It does seem positive with some good changes to some of our normal strategy. Some things still persist and the goat's bleating about Levy and Traore is far from ideal and shows we've got work to do still... but overall it's sounding like an an alright window in my experience.

Especially compared to so many other teams and their business.

The business we have done has been great. That isn’t the issue. We leave gaps in our squad every year that bites us in the arse.

We’ve also let go Bale & Vini remember.

The other frustration is Levy. He flirts at the bar with all the hottest girls and when it’s time to buy them a drink he’s left his wallet at home.

This I hate the owners/chairman is boring and seems the fashionable thing now for fans. Even Liverpool fans are against their owners. Like wtf. The entitlement and need for shiny new players is over the top.

Let's hope something changes we need atleast 1 more in on top of Emerson

even Wet Spam doing better business - fact we have scraped 3 1-0 wins seems to have given Levy the excuse he needed to not spend..

Signings:

Gollini - backup will barely play
Gil - still young, would you honestly say he's a better player than Lamela currently?
Romero - quality signing, give you that one.
Sarr - won't see him for a year
Emerson - another good signing

Loan players coming back:

Skipp - he's been very good
Sessegnon - done nothing of note and looks very underwhelming

We have not replaced Bale and Vinicius and are still missing a creative CM.

Overall the window is pretty mediocre, you can't sugar coat it.

Wow that's a damning bleet from the Goat. BSoDL get your defenses ready.

Just goes to show as many of us suspected, he was never going to step away from transfers, however much people wanted to believe it. It’s not in his make up.

We’ve an unbalanced squad again. People shouldnt come crying on here when we’ve got lucas or Dele leading the line after Kane picks up an injury and Sonny is out of form because he’s knackered.

"buyers market" as well ?

Apart from Sarr we haven't really made any hugely opportunistic signings for cheap fees. We've paid about market value for Romero, Gil and Emerson.

The sad thing is Levy’s aim will always be top 4, but on a budget.

I think Traore would have been great for us but it was never likely at £50m. Levy ultimately holds the purse strings. It’s a shame as he’s a huge upgrade on Bergwijn and Lucas as far as impact on a PL game goes. I’m convinced he would have stepped up another level surrounded by class forwards.

I also doubt we get a CM, cheap or otherwise. Levy will be looking for that spot to go to a reintegrated Ndombele. Just so there’s a chance he can be worth his hefty wages and fee or be in the shop window for a move next year. Levy can’t live with his mistake on that one.
