Spurs persevered with Bale (I know there were times he could have gone) and turned him into the player he is, providing the platform for him to develop. And reward him handsomely in the process. If Spurs want £100m for him, then that is the price. If RM and Bale dont like it, then tough. Piss or get off the pot.

Yeah we cant weaken our stance due to this.
It's not so much Bale I'm on the 'Gareth has to stay or we can't challenge for title' bus. I believe we can be stronger if we sold and bought wisely. Problem is as Henry pointed out for Liverpool and selling Suarez, it's now become too late to get replacements in.

Players with release clauses?

I'm surprised given the comments from Madrid and all the ITK saying Bale will stay and even that JJ has said Bale is not angry that JJ still thinks Bale is off... I've been pretty convinced he's staying but JJ saying this over and over again concerns me.

Levy is making Bales deal difficult.
Good. Why should we make it easy. I'm glad were not dropping our dacks and bending over on this one TBH.
He has a fair contract. If a team meets OUR valuation and OUR terms then we can do a deal.

Disappointed to hear Bale is still supposedly being a kid about this. Does he not get that Madrid aren't meeting our valuation or coming anywhere near, it's not rocket science. Was hoping by now he would just at least be knuckling down.

Footballer in ****ish behaviour shocker....

We will do anything to offload ade. A bad egg and everyone knows it at the club. Most fined player last season and if I could of recorded the bollocking freund gave him once, earth shattering from such a jovial character.

I cant believe that huddlestone will leave. I have seen it again and again with him he just does not want to move. He has been to stoke been to fulham been to sunderland look round the training groound then gets cold feet. Cant see him going. He will pass the medical but you have to pay a higher insurance for him.

Heard that he really could not stand being just a squad player any more, needed to play and would push for a move otherwise?

The above suggests he is happy to just hang around when push comes to shove.

Is it me or does this read as the Bale angry story is not true? Seeing as he was adamant about the Ade part.

That's exactly how I interpreted it and like you said, just reaffirming the Adebayor story.

If Adebayor could just get his head down and cut out the silly bollocks then he's such a good player and a true asset for the club but it's clear he'll never change and a squad role for him just isn't going to work.

Need to cut our losses on this one and by hook or by crook wing him out permanently.

looks like Modric. you actually look like Modric right?

Sort of just betterlooking obviously. If you by chance have guessed who I am do not post on it on here please.

do you still work as a p.e teacher in epping Clive? Cracking left back that you were.

On what j.j is saying he is undoubtably correct bale is not sulking. Not that I would disagree with j.j but bale will not leave this year in my opinion.

So rm vicariously (through marca) leak details of a world record bid, all of the gutter press (im including ssn) jump on this as fact and then weave their own lies.

RM claim to have had talks - despite levy clearly being in a different country and now they are claiming the price is too high!

Classy RM!

Footballer in ****ish behaviour shocker....

edit: Shogun says later than i missed his sarcasm, so this shouldn't be associated with him. But there are others that do go down this path at times. And it is only going to cause them ulcers :)

Supporters jumping on a convenient and highly dubious negative to justify their per-concieved notions shocker.....

One "is he, isn't he" ITK and a paper story from Madrid's PR wing is in no way a reason to think Bale is doing anything wrong. Let's wait this out before we start turning on him.

I don't know what information Breezer is getting.......but while I trust it is earnest and he's giving it to us as he's been told, it seems to betray an agenda from his source.

What happened with all the Besiktas comments with Ade then? Surely if we wanted him out so much we would take the deal they were offering.

Look through my posts, I have said time and time again that Bale won't be throwing his toys out of his pram. Maybe just maybe people can be sarcastic now and again? Maybe.

Honestly, enough pussy footing round this, I just wish Hudd would fuck off now and take some control over his career and look to establish himself elsewhere.

It's clear as can be he doesn't feature in our long term plans so please, do us a favour and accept a move!

Agree.

I don't think we are valuing him too highly. The price seems rediculous, yes, but I always argue that a player's value is quantified by what he is worth to the selling club, not by comparisons with other players, i.e. "Ronaldo was only £80m and Bale's not as good as him, ergo he is only worth £60m".

Bale was our star player by some distance last season, indeed the star player of the premier league. He is our most marketable asset, and could be instrumental in securing a place at the top table next season, which in itself could be worth hundreds of millions in the long run.

It's OUR decision what he is worth to us, not Real Madrid's, not the media, not fans of other clubs. I agree with taking the hard line on this, pay what we ask or f**k off. Of course, if he does throw a wobbler then his value to us as a player decreases, so let's just hope that he has the professionalism not to do this in public to the club with which he signed a perfectly legitimate contract.
