Anyone else shitting themselves with the possibility Lo Celso only happens if we shift GNK and Janssen?
That's insane, isn't it?

We're talking 100m in champions league revenue and Levy's prepared to gamble that revenue on whether these two can manage to make themselves scarce...

GKN and Janssen equal 70k a week, which is 3.6m a year. To be fair to D1 and DL, that does sound about right for a GLC wage before the bonus etc we add on.

Sounds like we are now we maybe expecting Eriksen to stay and need new ideas to get the funds for Lo Celso, hence having to rely on Janssen and and N'koudou leaving

Thanks as always Dov. That info re Lo Celso doesn't really stack up, are we really going to base our plans for signing our supposed top target on shifting a couple of fringe players who presumably are not on huge wages anyway? Very odd if true.

I guess it is also down to size of squad too, Poch and I guess Levy like a small squad so want players out before adding to the squad.

dragon1 on 'who will we sign?':
the brothers at Fulham , Ceballos will either go to us or scum and if we can get nkoundou and Jansen out then Lo Celso will happen , as I try to explain on here all the time levy is way more about our wage bill than our net spend

There is an outside chance on bale , Madrid would have to hold our hand on the deal though big time we will not break our wage structure for him or anyone else will go to final days of window and really comes down to how bad madrid want rid and if bale wants first team football or just pick money up

If rose goes to Everton I think will take their left back but that’s more of a hunch than itk
Eriksen is a day to day situation Madrid are miles off I’d be guessing as in total limbo now

Having to get GKN and Janssen out for Lo Celso would worry me!

Interesting to have another mention of Bale, I'm certain it's one we'd follow with interest, but would need a lot of luck to pull off.

I think Rose and cash for Digne would be a pretty good deal for all parties.

I think the issue I have is that if wages were the problem over net spend then we'd allow them to leave to clubs on a free, you can't tell me that they were on higher wages than any other prem footballer or that no club in the world would take them on if they were essentially free so that indicates to me that valuations still need to be met. If it was a question of simply getting them off wage bill then they'd have gone by now.

hopefully Levy doesn't hold out on the nkoudou and Jansen sales then if its just wage bill than net spend. .

Bale would be the ultimate imo he is the missing link the missing spark this team needed towards end of last season and around time we went from being 5 points off city to 20 points behind with Arsenal sniffing our ar*es, With Lo Celso incoming we would have a very good rotational midfield especially if we keep Eriksen.

Digne promising but another French player...

So Lo Celso is dependent on N'Koudou and Janssen leaving to free up wages but not Ceballos or indeed an 'outside chance' of Bale who will undoubtedly smash our wage budget?!

Doesn't stack up whatsoever i'm afraid

I really really can't see that being the case. We've already bid for Lo Celso, why would we then halt that because we have two unwanted players in the way?

40m from rose and trippier and £10-15m for Josh and Marcus will really help us with lo celso, player wants the move

As he said it's about the wages. You only have to look at them lot down the road to see what happens if you finish outside the cl with big wages.
