So we should just accept that it's fine to wait for that perfect signing to happen on September 1st @11:52pm, 4 games into a season....? i happen to think that something is fundamentally wrong with our transfer policy if we always end up in the same boat year after year. And my vagina is now clear of sand, i washed it this morning thank you very much :sneaky:
Take it elsewhere please. This thread is for discussing ITK, not our transfer policy.

Our transfer policy is based on our ability to spend, which you will have noticed is limited due to our financial standing.

What would you do? Pay the asking price? Force players to move? I would rather have a new player in July. Of course I would, but if that can't happen, I'd rather have him in by September rather than not at all.

Not one of us fans can influence any transfer or point the club to what we need, Yes we can all debate it but why get worked up and frustrated about something which is entirely and completely out of your / our control?

What the club do, they will do... or not do regardless of what we think...

Best to sit back, relax and enjoy the ride...

History tells you the longer you wait and the days count down, we are unlikely to end up with the players we want. It's probably us not having the budget people think we have. If it goes to last week we really are taking a chance on this seasons success. Season starts in 3 days. We've added one player to our first team and an injury to Kane means we start the season with a midfielders as center fwrd. That good enough?

Lightning doesn't strike twice in the same place mate ? I saw him a few times at Southend last year, he's no Kane.

yeah, probably isn't. but people who saw Kane for Orient, Leicester and Norwich probably didn't think he would turn out as he has... just saying, wouldn't dismiss him so quickly.

On that basis one should not get worked up watching football matches, which would probably deprive the sport of a certain something.

I think you need to address your ongoing angst at something (and ill capitalize this last bit for clarity and avoidance of any further doubt) "YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CONTROL OVER/INPUT INTO THE PROCESSES THEREIN/YOU ARE NOT PRIVVY TO ANY OF THE SALIENT AND RELEVENT INFORMATION TO BE ABLE TO FORM A REASONED VIEW". In short you are voicing an ignorant opinion....as we all are, just some more vocally than others.

so anywho, any ITK today? Can someone just make something up for the love of god?

ITK is mostly... as it was yesterday. Disbelief from ITKs that Ade hadn't gone through. Lots of them seemed to think it was over the line. All the "next 48 hours" stuff backs that up.

Something may well have happened... or it's some dicky admininstration issue. Anyway, nobody knows for sure, so we've spent the morning mostly calling each other cockends and knobjockies. It's been fun.
