Reverse psychology from the Club. They're stringing out the departures, knowing we're desperate for news/confirmation....by the time they announce we'll be so relieved and happy we won't care about incoming's anymore.

Probably the same people who moan and say levy is obsessed by it

I'm not one of those moaners but it's far too early to celebrate future signings in my opinion.

I have been hearing exactly the same line for well over a month and nothing I am hearing has changed. 1 CM and 1 forward are a must and one more forward if we can move the right people on. Aside from what I have heard I don't see how a winger remotely fits into MP's plans unless we are looking to convert one to a WF role.


As for Faz I don't know if we are looking to sell him now, but from what I have been told he is not the type who would be happy sitting on the sidelines. I wouldn't be surprised if he has asked to move in order to play, and considering our options I think we'd let him for the right money.

Yeah - it would be odd to buy a winger when we don't even play with wingers and we are busy trying to offload our only remaining one who never fitted the system (Lennon)

Makes sense, I'd personally like to keep Fazio until January (EL, C1C) at least but if he wants out so be it. Dier and Wimmer look more than ready.

I think the 4th forward player will definitely be a last minute dash if we sell everyone we want out. I'd be delighted with us getting 3 of our targets however.

Don't want to get too excited, but the 35-40 million is probably just for the three forwards we're buying....!!!
Other ITK said our CM may come in later in the window, so it could be we are getting:

Berahinho, N'Jie (Strikers) and Werner / Yarmolenko (winger / wide forward)!!!

Anyway, must remain calm and pretend I'm not hyped..

I'm not that fussed about losing Fazio.

He has something about him but i think 5 CB's is too many. Out of the 5, he'd be the one i'd let go.

Selling Faz is logical but he seemed to be a real physical presence at the back and at times dominated in the air which was nice to see from someone in a Spurs shirt for a change. I thought this season with a decent or at least in form right back as well as a less lazy central defensive partner he might do very well.

I'm sure there was ITK earlier in the window that said Faz could go if the right deal came in for him, otherwise we were happy to keep, so that seems to tally nicely.

All a little bit exciting this morning/last few days. Not sure how much if anything will be done before the weekend, but still the best part of 4 weeks 'til the end of the window and I would assume that significant work has been done on the incomings already, it's not like we're suddenly starting from scratch.

Nothing been said in the last week or so that makes me believe we won't get the deals done, although you can pickle my walnuts and call me Mavis if I've got any idea who we'll actually end up with. Way more names been mentioned than we'll actually get and that doesn't included the ones being kept under wraps!

That agent is doing deals with the top hierarchy at spurs, and his previous has been very good.
