Has there been any evidence that Levy would lead sales rather than Paratici or is that assumption based on the fact anything negative is blamed on DL, whilst FP gets hyped up?!
I don’t care too much either way to be honest- not on either train, but if Levy has ultimate say in signing the cheques on new signings I’d imagine he’s in the thick of it with sales.

I’m not even sure why your post has to draw the battle lines between one perception or the other

And we should be willing to shift players with losses... no one is going to pay the prices we paid for N'Dombele, Lo Celso etc... of course we shouldn't give them away, but we have to accept that they have dropped in value.

I hope we will get some ITK on outgoings soon :)
Unfortunately the pandemic ripped through the financial health of most European clubs. Conversely the EPL was somewhat cushioned and in far better financial state than our European competitors.
consequently even though Paratici can conjure up some wonderful options to defer payments of players being offloaded, but what he is reticent to do is assist with salary support, seeing as the financial packets of these unwanted players are way way beyond the abilities of most clubs showing a modicum of interest.

Im pretty sure a criticism aimed at Paratici from his time at Juventus was his inability to sell players, he’s apparently not as good at selling as he is at buying apparently
Selling players, especially those clearly out of favour, is much harder as there are a lot of factors at play -

How many clubs are interested?
What will they pay?
Will the chairman agree to take a hit?
Will the player accept the move?

I’m not sure any DoF can be classed as good or bad at selling deadwood.
Clubs like Juve tend to have highly paid unwanted players too so I’m sure he did struggle.

At Spurs he’s sold Dele, Bergwijn (for decent money), CCV & Clarke so far, with 4 January loans so I think he’s doing ok.

What we need is another Spurs to come along and overspend on the players we overspent on
Nobody's got any money, unless we're happy to sell to a PL rival and if the players themselves are happy to move there. Our best hope is for Fabio to do some creative deals - loans with obligations/options, or even a swap deal like we had for Gil/Lamela. Reguilon for Pedri plus a bit of cash?!!

Not that simple anymore. The number of loans is limited to 8.

We have 2 out already in parrot, and Scarlett. If we push 4 more, we could hamper our ability to enable youngsters to develop.

The 8 loan out limit only applies to international loans and doesn't apply to players who are under 21 or club trained. Premier league restricts the number of domestic loans in but has no limit on outgoing loans.

Oh, I didn't realise that. That's a positive

In past windows we were selling to raise funds to purchase so sell to buy was financially motivated. This window is different, sell to buy is to reduce numbers in the squad so I'm all on board with this windows "sell to buy" 6 players in already and hopefully a couple more, Conte happy, Kane happy, what more can we ask for

Absolutely no doubt in my mind Reguilon, Winks, GLC will have buyers.

Ndombele on the other hand....
If his salary wasn't so high he'd be a shoe in for Italy. The pace of the game would be perfect for him.

Good to read Trix posts, pretty much prioritising outgoings but not exclusively on outgoings and we still have scope on the outgoing/incoming running order.
