I also look forward to the day Lo Celso leaves the club. In my opinion he is nowhere near Christian Eriksen. A new CAM is much needed. Son's goal yesterday was the first free kick goal since CE two years ago... A Mikkel Damsgaard or James Ward-Prowse would make us much more dangerous on set pieces.
As debuts go, this is up there with Ali Dia…

biggest problem was shedding goals
Agree. And while the signs are good, it’s too early to stake a claim that that problem has been effectively remedied. But, it’s clear in this new system we need a creative midfielder, not just to assist in creating goals but controlling games and taking pressure of off our defence, else we become too predictable as we did under Mourinho

To much effing about waiting to the end of the window when all these so called bargains were going to be had. Just fed the same shit as usual and always come up short. Levy not being involved in transfers has not made one bit of difference.

Anyone who thinks Emerson is going to be the answer to our right back problems is in for a shock Koeman made his mind up watching him yesterday. I watched the Barca game he was so frustrated with him not doing what he wanted that when he came off Barca looked much better going forward. Don't understand the logic in this signing compared to Tomiyasu who can cover multiple positions.

Different people on big salaries leaking out the same shit to the fans but same old story prices went up to late to get deals done and the rest of the normal crap.

I'm not calling our window based on 1 ITK which conflicts with ITK we have had literally today, let's just see what happens, we have space in the squad and there's only a day left. I can wait a day before accepting that we aren't getting done what's needed.

I don’t get the negativity, aging defender replaced by best defender in serie A last year, aging keeper replaced be a strong number 2, lamela with not long on contract replaced by a kid who did well in la liga, possibly a young rb for either Doherty/aurier

I don't think those moves in and of themselves are problems. The question is whether the sum total of the window reflects a commitment to field a squad that at least somewhat objectively can challenge for top 4. The reason for the negativity is the sense that it is a hard NO!

It’s not just one ITK post though is it, it’s the direction of travel that the info and links have been pointing to for the last two or three weeks.

Our “second team” will struggle against Antwerp. We will rely on first 11 to get through group stages again. Severe lack of firepower relying on 2 to score all the goals and not get injured

-Kept Kane
-Replaced Alderweireld with Romero
-Managed to swap Lamela for a highly rated youngster in Gil
-Signed another highly rated kid in Pape Sarr
-About to replace Aurier with a superior player in Emerson
-Could still sign another forward in the next 24 hours

Great transfer window - club with a plan.

That is a Gooner's take on our window so far on Arsemania. They've spent £130m and are in meltdown over their window.

You could add the fact we got money for Sissoko, signed Son to a longer contract and have brought Lloris' replacement. All in one window. And it hasn't closed yet.

We all need to take a step back here, realistically what business were we going to do in one window that would make us serious challengers for top 4 this season? It’s a rebuild and it takes time. We dont have oil money to spend huge amounts. It’s going to take time, full stop
