Sounds like Modric is being a class A bellend. Problem we have is that we don't have an effective replacement. We are effectively screwed either way. If we sell him we struggle. If we don't we have a player that is not committed. Absolutley gutted. This kind of thing breaks my heart as a football fan. Player power is effectively making me fall out of love with this game.

For the last ****ing time, Modric isn't off.

Seriously, I don't want to bash, but all the messages inside and outside the club are pointing to him staying, and we really want to make this clear to everyone. Any posts like this, which frankly aren't genuine, really are detrimental to the clubs motives and people should think twice before posting them.

Thanks.

Do you really think Levy would have the guts to pull the plug on Arry now?
Ancelotti is waiting

If levy does not have the gut to pull the plug, he should hire me to do for him. i will not charge him for doing it.

Rooney is on £250,000 a week and since when were we as BIG as United?

Maybe I missed the 2 Champions Leagues and the 19 League titles!

United have also just added the likes of Young,Jones,Wellbeck,Hernandez and Smalling to their team and they actually look a far better team now than when they had Ronaldo.

None of those players cost money that we couldn't have afforded!

There are tons of very, very, good players out there who would be more than delighted to play for a team like SPURS!

So we should accept that we will never compete then? I would have loved to have got Jones etc....but that has no relevance to selling Modric. Enhancing these teams helps us in what way? We have to keep our best players and improve on top of it. Show ambition and and get top 4 CONSISTENTLY......maybe then players won't wnat to leave.

You dont reward bad behaviour - selling Modric would be doing this.

You dont give in to bullies - selling to Chelsea would be doing this.

The message to both should be very clear NO DEAL

Look at arsenal, consistently in the top four but they have lost three of their best players....

it comes down to MONEY, pay the wages and the players will come. City got their stars before the champs league

Until that changes by a salary cap or stadium or foreign investment, we will be in and around 4/5/6

That's no guarantee!

Nasri,Adebayor,Clichy,Fabregas and Toure were in the Champions League every year and they left!

I think Jasper - shock, horror - has this spot on.

Harry clearly wants him sold. He has always (ryan, others) said he thought that Modric would be sold. I'd even go further and say that the stupid fucking prick (and I've never called him that before) has family reasons and very nearly professional reasons for wanting to see Chelsea succeed. I am wondering if he can't see himself in a press conference in November saying "Yeah, well, a draw at home to Wigan isn't the best but we've had all the problems in the world. I had to sell Luka and we never got going and I know 14th in the league is bad but we've been down to the bare bones and Joey Cole might have missed a penalty and an open goal but he performed a triffic touch to set up Crouchy for his missed bicycle kick. If Scotty Parker's broken leg heals before Christmas we might be able to finish top half..." etc, and so on.

 Sorry, I think I got a bit carried away. Hell, it's my birthday and I'm sat up working at 1am. I think a wild rant isn't out of the question.

Torres - out of form for over a year and Pool were offered £50m
Modric - had his best season last year and we've been offered £27m

:hump:

Today is not a good day to be using the Goons as an example, TBH...they are in a worse state than us

Let the wanker play with the kids, and fine him until he is on the dole. We should have sold him early on and replaced him, we didn't, so now we must keep him and not let Chelsea achieve what they started out to do.

How can we have sold him early in the transfer window? No one offered us his value, Chelsea have bidded with derisory offers and their unsettling tactics are working.

I'm not saying he should or will sack him. However, it was an appalling tactical and selection error, hot on the heels of a similar clusterfuck against United. That's a 100% fuck-up record this season, displaying outrageous naivety. He is a much, much better manager than this kind of rookie error.

For me, that's worthier of comment that Modric, who played fine. Passed beautifully. Just didn't see the ball due to our ridiculous tactics.

Even more worthier of comment, though, should be ITK. Hence, why I will say that I am gladdened to hear the names Parker, Diarra and Cahill recently as they show our weaknesses have been already identified by the management - restoring some of my faith in them.

Great post

What has Whinger got to do with it?
If you want to talk about him, this should be in the Goons thread

The rules are there to stop it getting clogged up, commenting on it clogs it up, let them do their job.

Rules are there to be enforced.

Just clogging it up more by commenting again but I am in a shit mood so am quite happy to get in trouble.

That video is relevant in this thread as it sort of goes against everything that has been said about Crouch to Stoke.

Is this 'Arry getting at Levy because of a lack of communication over transfers? Or just simply that Crouch is not off at all?
