Could today get any worse??
Yep, Joey Barton has now signed for Burnley. Another one off the longer list.....

that wasn't a great first post lad...you have my sympathy
Even though Albion's statement was posted before today's Grey Fox info I'm still convinced SB is on his way. All ITKs have pointed to it.
My theory is that this was fully or near-fully agreed days if not longer ago (hence that supposed medical) on the condition that Pearce is allowed to draw out the situation to the window's end and play the media game bc he's worried about his image (did we not just have ITK about Pearce's concern over how it looks to sell their best youngster in years?). Just as we show interest (and no one else really has) WBA pick up Rondon and Lambert for Pulis's single striker system.
I don't care how much TV money teams received, WBA cannot afford to have that many strikers just sitting around. Not to mention Pulis's quotes yesterday backing Rondon to score their goals. SB is done at WBA and Pearce knows it, he's just playing the media and his needlessly detailed quotes exemplify that. Whether SB plays this weekend or not will really show what Monday holds.
And if he's still at WBA come Tuesday, it's £15 from me.
WHU Forum ITK...Seems to be their "JJ/Trix". We've been down this road before with Villa so grain of salt and wait and see...Seems very confident...

No deal for Matri - He's not arriving tomorrow, there is only one player landing and that's Adebayor
I really didn't buy this, do you honestly think that the chairman of a multimillion £ business is worried what the fans think? It's clear that they have an asking price which they may be willing to lower, but from the last statement it sounds like a warning "pay what we want on our terms or jog on". He's not going to accept 10m down and 12m over the next 10 years depending on how many times we win the world cup
Rubbish. If that is the case then why does the bulk of all transfer activity take place towards the end of the window?
Bulk...? Don't know how you get to those numbers. But It's effectively a free for all at the supermarket skid bin selling dented cans of beans for 20p and that pretty much sums up most of our dealings... all the pikies grabbing for bargains. Not thats what we needed, just what was on sale... Genius
There's not really been that many transfers this week though?
There's not really been that many transfers this week though?
True. But there will be - just as there always is.
Go back and look at the transfer activity in the last days of the window - what does not get done early will for most clubs go to the death. I don't like it, but it is what it is .
Maybe not yet but I think City, Yanited, Chelsea, Arsenal and ourselves will all do their highest profile transfers this week.
