It is suboptimal to have 3 strikers in the squad, 2 of whom both have to play in our best 11 and 1 of whom is 17. It should be a priority to make sure we have cover. As the squad is structured, our season would likely be derailed by Kane and/or Son missing 5-10 games.

I understand the opinion that we can't afford a proven elite goal scorer, ok fine, we still need a warm body capable of playing at a premier league level, and we shouldn't be hindering 17 year old Dane's development to be that body.

Doubt he’s on more than half of those anyway but not really the point. Would’ve been a risk worth taking. Already paying dividends for villa.
Yes because Ings will start every league game for a club who doesn't have European football to worry about. They also offloaded Grealish and I believe Ings wanted upwards of 100k a week and for someone as a back up to Kane, that is definitely overpaying.

I thought Ings would be good, but we don't know the details. If he's told he'll be coming in as back up to Kane for the most part and unlikely to start more than he's benched, then it could have been a non-starter.

Why would he come to a club to play conference league when he can go to a club and play every game, we would never be offering him anymore money than he can get from Villa, the payer does get a choice in who he plays for

Traore can play as a centre forward as well as on the wing. He's done it pretty well against Man City a couple of times. I think he scored in both games, but don't quote me on that. I'm sure we could play him there in some of the European games if we wanted to give Kane a rest.

regarding the striker situation. We have loaned out a striker who has several international caps now in Troy Parrot and promoted Scarlett ahead of him. After giving him that trust it is pointless to bring in a striker to play 15 games when we can give those games to someone we have clearly decided is the real deal and we don't want to stunt his development.
