In the S*n article about us being pissed off Mendes has got involved in the Diaz deal, there's two lines on another player we've been linked with before but who I don't see a thread for.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are also eyeing Genk midfielder Kristian Thorstvedt - son of former Spurs keeper Erik.

The goalscoring midfielder, 22, is rated at £25m and has played 11 games for Norway.

I'm not completely sold on Thorstvedt's talent but he could play as the forward-bombing CM in a 3-5-2 or maybe wide in the 3-4-3 and his attitude is everything you want from a player. He's a proper fighter and never gives up.

This is the trouble with low balling first offers if you’re trying to sign a serious player. You alert other (bigger) clubs who just come and swop the player off you. If you make a serious offer first off like a proper football club, bosh deal done no messing about. You’d think after 20 years they might have learnt that.

Tell me you don’t know the first thing about business without telling me you don’t know about business.

Regardless of what you’re buying the first offer,, unless there is a price stuck to it, will always be too low.

We could have become one of the big boys, picking up top notch players.
Instead we do all the leg work, finding out acceptable transfer fees for other clubs and letting them swoop in and complete the deal.

Those rumours will start on 1st Feb and not stop until he goes or is finally backed eith a lot of money.

The outcome of this window really could affect Conte's longevity at the club. Thats why its so saddening and frustrating whats going on rn.

That summer we bought Ndombele and GLC, who everyone thought was going to push us on. Sadly those have both been absolute wastes of money.
