Adama (RWB), Amrabat (CDM) and Luiz Diaz (LM/RM) would be a window I'd be happy with.

Granted, Diaz is no striker but it would certainly free up Bergwijn to play as a striker from here on out.
Diaz is no striker in the same way Salah and Mane aren't strikers.

Spending 50m+ on backup winger when we are only loaning midfielder worse than 3 current options that we want to sell doesn't meake sense at all IMO ?

Isn't the 48 thing a classic FP tactic - remember that being mentioned a lot in the Summer but not sure we "saw" it in action.

Would be a really stupid move to get Diaz if we are not moving a starter out and in that case, it would be Son, so not very likely.... If we would be in the same situation with Conte pre-pandemic I could see it where we sell Son for 90-100mil and get Diaz for 45m to get money to a De vrij and a mckennie for example. call BS

Thanks mate.

Had COVID. Daughter (now 13 months old) got it. In hospital with daughter. House purchase fell through at last minute. Sold our house anyway. Wife then in hospital with suspected sepsis but just horrific kidney infection. Had to take a week off my unbelievably time consuming job. That's my September for you since you asked.

But sure, was much more important to post on an internet forum about Spurs being shit in a transfer window.

Cheers.
Owned, I think this was a term from 10/15 years ago on the line ?

glad all is well pal, she is gorgeous!!

Is he better than Son? Diaz plays only on the left. Signing him and then playing Son as a right winger(where he isn't that good) instead of signing right winger also doesn't make sense.
Or you change the system and play Son behind a two of Kane and Diaz or both Diaz and Son playing behind a target man with freedom to roam.

It's not difficult to get good players to play together with just a tweak here and there.

I meant you no harm @Stoof and I genuinely hope that you, your Mrs and your daughter are healthy and well as that's what truly matters. And I am sorry to hear about the rough time that you had.

I'm generally an optimist and that applies when it comes to Spurs, and the pessimism can be tiresome to read but I really get frustrated when poster's frustrations with the club and Levy/ENIC is met with personal attacks by calling them bedwetters, moaners, telling them that they "can't handle real life" because they're reacting to something negative involving the club we all love.

And I realize that makes me a hypocrite for getting personal with @Stoof for which I wholly, and unreservedly apologize.

People's outlook in life are generally shaped by the sum of their experiences - both negative and positive - and I just don't agree that someone's opinions are less valuable or are worth less because they are negative and when responding to those posters in a mean-spirited way, considerations should be given to what they could be possibly going through in life as you dont know what people are going through - the same way I didn't know what Stoof was going through.

Although the conversion rate to GBP from my local currency is pretty high, I'll donate as much as I can to the site for my troubles.

Sorry for taking the thread off topic @Rob / @Archibald&Crooks and my apologies again @Stoof.

Yeah that could work Trix. Conte said when asked about Son as a striker said No, he sees him as a #10

Oh yea good point about Diaz being signed as a back-up winger as we all are forgetting that Jack Clare will be returning :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Back-up bloody winger my arse, he's absolutely class and we probably have no chance of signing him but won't stop everyone on here getting a boner over the idea of it for a few hours and here's to hoping hey.

In all seriousness we seriously lack another quality creative goalscoring 'wide n.o10' aside from Son, Lucas isn't consistent enough and nor is Bergwijn who is also seemingly regarded as a striker by Conte, Diaz would make a massive difference for us. Conte is not mug nor is FP, they will know that yes we need a RWB, CB and CM but they will also know that we seriously lack quality attacking depth, both are important and we will look to take advantage of whichever 'opportunities' are available.

Although now with Vlahovic going to Juve maybe that money for a new striker is going for Diaz instead...

This would allow Bergs to Ajax deal, especially as Mike Vrij (Netherlands Journo said again yday that the deal is still alive) also Diaz would be an upgrade
