What are the rules on loans between teams in the same league. Don't they have to be for a certain amount of time?

I think loans to another PL club need to be for a full season

I'd go with...

And 5.59 Sky Sources confirm that Spurs are providing a private helicopter for Berahino, direct to Chobham for Chelsea to provide the finishing touches to the contract worth £400K a week.

Kind of correct, we could have recalled Carroll, but he could not have played for us in the PL after his recall until the end of the season (FA Handbook rule 6.63), so would have needed to find another PL loan for him.

So in practice a loan to another PL club for Pritchard would be a season long loan, as we cannot get him back in January to play for us, we can only loan him out again.

Been told a 3rd bid will go in for Beriniho possibly with a loan going the other way as a sweetener. We want it wrapped up by Friday or we will move on. When I asked about 98% done was told we believed 22m would do it, player wants to come and is unhappy where Pulis plays him.
Deadline for decision from AI also set Madrid encouraged us to bid and we were warned of Liverpool at the outset, up to the player.

As for Illaramendi I'm more worried about that one as I don't think he wants to come to us unless he has no other options. I hope we have other options ourselves.

I'm not paying too much attention to that, it might well be how he's told to play that role, how the team is set up with him in that role or something exotic along those lines that we have no idea about. It might even be additional fluff designed to help him get his move.
