Personally I think Andros should be the one making way now we have signed Clinton and are looking to bring in Berahino.

Keep Pritchard, sign someone like Yarmolenko to replace Andros and possibly look at finding a good season loan for Onomah.

After his season's loan last year Prithcard needs to be given chances in the first team, be it from the bench at first.
Loaning out our up and coming homegrown talent is not the way forward and not why Poch was brought in, supposedly.
Keeping Townsend and loaning out Lamela makes no sense whatsoever.
If we're to loan anyone out it should be Townsend.

I really hope this isn't the case. Fuck sake...

Can see the logic, whilst I think he is ready to go, an offer of near guaranteed PL football on loan is hard to turn down for all parties.

Looks like Alli may be considered in a more forward role after that cameo on Saturday too.

I agree, although I think there's been a certain amount of hopeful overrating going on for a lad who's not played in the Premiership. Some people saying he's going to replace Eriksen for example, which seems a little fanciful to me.
Alli hadn't even played in the Championship and he hasn't looked out of place. Pritchard should absolutely be part of our first team this season, anyway this is for another thread I suppose.

I'm hope this isn't clearing the way for more game time for Andros :cautious:

I am not giving up hope on Andros, he has shown moments of brilliance but unfortunately has also glaring examples of his inadequacies too. If Poch can work with him then there surely is potential there, and he does possess great pace.

I am not saying that he will make it but I look back on Danny Rose before last season and dare I mention Bale......

Twitter q&a's probably annoy JJ just as much, if not more, than sc q&a's. And all twitter q&a's are is a way of circumventing the SC rules on q&a's. So I say, we ban twitter q&a's also and if the culprit is an SC member, they dont even get a warning. Auto ban for knowingly circumventing the SC rules for personal gain.

Will do him the world of good tbh. We can't be blooding too many kids at the same time into a team struggling for confidence.

We have the youngest squad in the league though, Pritchard is only 1 year younger than Eriksen, had a fantastic season last year in a gruelling league, he is ready.

So much for giving the youth a chance in the first team! He's 22 now, he needs to be in the squad. Should be on the bench Ffs.

PL loans are a significant progression, most of the time PL loans lead to the players returning and pushing on. Walker, Townsend,, Rose, even Carroll, Naughton and Caulker (until he had a rift) all examples of this. I can see why we'd go for it.

Championship loan and I'd be up in arms, but this has merits.

I was hoping he'd stay however as he has a lot about him.

The problem with this plan is that if we kept Lamela and brought in Yarmolenko, I think we would never see a return of the investment for Lamela. Lamela would actually have a strong chance to develop head-to-head against Townsend, but against Yarmolenko, I think we'd be selling Lamela for pittance next summer. I wouldn't say that with any confidence about just any incoming signing to the Prem, but I agree entirely with Martinez when he said Yarmolenko would be a massive success in the Prem. As such, I think he'd leave the unconfident Lamela in the dust.

Ergo, I think the best plan is to go for the RWF upgrade in Yarmolenko, and go ahead and take a strong offer for Lamela. Great player, but I think the realization he's just not suited to the Prem has seeped into the sulci of even the most ardent Lamela supporter.

Completely agree about keeping Pritchard though. I don't think we'll let him go out on loan though. The cup matches are coming, and we will massively regret it, and soon, if we allow both Lamela and Pritchard to depart this window.

I just think it's silly though because of what he can offer us.

We should keep him for now. We can always re-assess the situation in January if he's not playing as much as we would like.

JJ said yesterday that Ade, lennon and Faz were likely to go.

By saying "maybe" re: Lamela, he's not being coy IMO. Maybe he just doesn't know on that one. Too soon to say etc

"Maybe" just means "maybe" eh? Who'd of thought it?

Last week of the window and we're getting the inevitable whisperings about players leaving. Could we be about to leave our squad paper thin and unbalanced again? Can't say we don't have form for it.

Am I the only one who's quite excited over the fact that we literally have no idea what's going to happen over the next week?

Will we sign Berahino? Who will be the DM to come in? Will Lamela leave? If so, does this mean there will be another attacking player coming in? Will Ade finally fuck off?

Is that you Levy?
