Lamela is a hard one. Extremely talented but seems he's feeling the pressure and looks devoid of confidence - the malnourished looks don't help - wish he'd put some weight on then at least I could look at him without feeling sick for him. I'd only sell for a great replacement such as Yarmolenko, if that's not on then why bother!
Because he has sadly been unproductive and is probably on a fair wedge

Twitter user: Thank god. And thanks for the reply. I know you hate Q&A... Presume if Lamela does go Inter, someone would replace?

JJ: possibly
I'm just going to tell myself that we have a plan, this is part of the plan, and we'll replace him with someone better if he goes. We can't mess this up again surely.

Twitter user: hi mate, if Lamela is go go to Inter then do you reckon we'll go in for Yarmolenko? We should be all over that

JJ: nah

Twitter user: Shame really. Oh well. Any change on the Bolasie stuff JJ? Not that I want him..

JJ: No

So what we thinking then, Lamela out, Mahrez in?

What with N'jie and likely Berahino in, coupled with Chadli, Eriksen and Pritchard (possibly Onomah) I would rather stick with these unless a bona-fide 1st teamer option comes into play.

Still need another option up front - quite who that is is anyone's guess!

Won't be Mahrez if Lamela goes IMO, signed a new contract recently and Ranieri said yesterday that he has no price because they won't sell him.

JJ said yesterday that Ade, lennon and Faz were likely to go.

By saying "maybe" re: Lamela, he's not being coy IMO. Maybe he just doesn't know on that one. Too soon to say etc

I'll be very worried if we sell Lamela and loan Pritchard without bringing at least one in.

Eriksen needs a kick up the arse, and we're desperate for creativity.

Interesting JJ saying a loan move would be good for Pritchard as he doesn't think he'll play much.
Suggests we'll almost certainly look to buy another AM - otherwise we are leaving ourselves far too thin.

Personally hope we don't loan him out as he has more than enough about him to make a real contribution to our season.

Lamela linked on loan to Inter, Pritchard linked on loan to Norwich. JJ saying potentially 3 in now makes it look like a winger is truly on the agenda.

Mahrez or Yarmolenko would be great but difficult to do. Moses I'd be unsure of but likely and option. Bolasie massively overpriced. Townsend probably staying. Chadli may be able to shift over too.

I think a loan for Lamela could be good for both parties. He finds his form again, we benefit next year in a better or more valuable player. As for Pritch I really want him to break through this year but a solid PL loan could be too good for us to turn down.

Edit: JJ seemingly dismissing most of those wingers. I'm probably having a 'mare. Would need some kind of replacement for Lamela though IMHO.
Re yarmo JJ also ruled out selling Lamela earlier in the window , si I haven't given up hope of a late bid to gazump Everton.

I agree, although I think there's been a certain amount of hopeful overrating going on for a lad who's not played in the Premiership. Some people saying he's going to replace Eriksen for example, which seems a little fanciful to me.
