Think signing Suarez is possible. I really do think he is the real deal. Would be future proof just an amazing player

He looked pretty happy tonight with Ajax, maybe next summer when were all moaning that Fabiano is shit  maybe a PX deal

Phew not the only one. Was really intrigued to see how he would get on when joining Blackburn and he struggled at first, which is normal. Watched him closely since the new year and he's steadily developed. His first two games of this season he's been excellent.

I think he'd be a really shrewd buy.

I would argue that he needs a year of regular football at Blackburn and then buy him if he has starred, it may cost more, but you are operating like Lyon in France, buying players who have cut their teeth.

Pletikosa is done! Will be on the official site tomorrow or friday. We made an enquiry about Asmir Begovic after monitoring his situation at Stoke however they are not keen to sell and the player wants to go to Chelsea. Working on the Diarra deal. Levy prefers a loan but Harry wants to get him in permanently. Haven't heard anything new on Fabiano apart from what other itk's have already stated about him being the number one striker target. Keane is deffo off, trying to do a deal with celtic wages and transfer fee just need to be sorted. Thats all for now folks

shame i thought CC has done realy wel coming back from that accident...

I also want to add that I am completely relaxed about the window closing now. I trust Harry completely, he knows what we need, in terms of mental and technical qualities, and is pretty happy with a great squad anyway.

I just can't imagine a window where we only spend about £6m. Especially now we're in the Champions League. I have no doubt we'll sign 1 or 2 players in the next few days.
Imagine last summer, it's not hard to do, Bassong for £8m, ITKs not having a clue.

I think I'm missing something from what everyone else is seeing. I don't get the impression that a move to Tottenham is something he craves as I think he's been looking for a move to Real or Barca over the last two years. I'm questioning his motivation I suppose.

Fundamentally I just don't rate him. Of course he's good technically, but that's a given.
Not a Shay, but most will understand.

Spurs fans desperate for a world class striker signing, cos we're in the CL. You can progress very far without one, of course, as we've seen from PSV and Villarreal.

Bah! Vickery, whilst being an excellent journalist can't spot a player for shit, so many of predictions for how players will fair in Europe are bollox.

Agreed, he writes very well and can research with the best of them, but has no clue as to players.

To be fair Tim has an almost impossible task because the leagues he covers are unlike anywhere else in the world. He also admits a lot of the time when he's been wrong.

It's realy not impossible and there are many people who can spot the talents coming out of S.America. Tim does admit when he's wrong though, but he isn't taken at all seriously in S. America.

He sort of reminds me of Spursking when it comes to his player scouting abilities.

Adie and Val Yid both suggesting Fabiano and Diarra are close.

That's good enough news for me, on top of tonight's win! I can sleep happy tonight! COYS!!!

What's to rate/scout/guess about Fabiano? His record speaks for itself, no guesswork required. If people can wrap their heads around Gallas joining and not instantly splitting the entire club apart with his sheer evilness, the only thing about Fabiano is his temperament. I haven't heard many bad things about it one way or another. Football-wise though, Fabiano would be a great signing.

I agree with Dan and I know I'll slated but the net income from this would be huge, rid ourselves of some deadwood and bring in a replacement with sell on value for the future. Gio would be somewhat of a loss......but come on, I don't think Harry rates him huge. IMO it won't happen..........

COYS - weldone tonight

I think if Fabiano comes to us motivated and ready to show his critics that he's not yet past his best, he'll score goals a plenty. He would have already watched videos of our games, no doubt he watched the game tonight on TV, he'd have spoken to Gomes and no doubt he's been chewing Zokora's and Kanoute's ears about us. He will know as a team we create a lot of chances and therefore he'll get a good few opportunities during a game to score.

He'll have noted that in Bale and Lennon we have two of who will become the most sought after attacking midfielders in Europe at some point in the near future. He'll also have noted that we have other established internationals with creative flair in Modric and Krancjar both of whom could supply opportunities for him.

Everything he will have seen and heard about us will be positive. Fabiano is a player who will thrive on being a hero, hearing his name sung week in, week out but most of all, his ego will be making him excited about the challenge of possibly becoming the EPL's top scorer.

We are one of only a handful of clubs in Europe where if he delivers the goals, he´ll be hero worshipped like never before.

If I could have my choice for striker I'd go for Suarez over Fabiano. I have been very impressed with Suarez every time I've seen him. If it's a box scorer we want - and IMO we do - then he'd be my choice. He has a real tenacity about him in the box and has a good range of poachers finishes.

I'll take Fabiano, but like Thowig and DP I have seen plenty of Fabiano and have always been a bit underwelmed. To me he is just a slightly stronger Defoe. That strength worth a couple of extra goals a season but will he give us much more all round ? Not sure.

The Kalinic shout from Thowig is interesting. There is something about this lad for sure that has caught my eye too. Not 100% but he is interesting.

I agree with some of what DA says about needing a the man to play the uber 1 up front, but if we sign an upgrade poacher, Crouch is one of the best pit ponies to partner a poacher in a 442.

I'm becoming less obsesses with the search for the holy grail (uber striker) than I am with the search for an actual finisher who is stronger (and preferably cleverer and more clinical) than Defoe/Pav/Keane

I'd love us to sell two of Keane/Defoe/Pav and buy two of Suarez, Fabiano, Huntelaar (in that order).

so most ITK points us to Fabiano and Diarra. Pletikosa sounds like a done deal, but i doubt we'll get rid of carlo now that gomes is fucked for a while.

there was a lot of talk recently about us being interested in a 2nd French striker

just wondering if this has gone cold or is it still on ?

Just as a point. Keano looked very happy during his half-time warm-up. Very much at home.

My personal interpretation of that is he's content at Spurs. There's obviously no insider information. But the bloke was about 5 yards away from me, and he was smilling, laughing and joking. Probably means nothing but worth mentioning I thought.

cheers stoof!!

may i add you looked rather dashing waving your little flag on tv :)

Right. Got a bit of minor spurs information. Nothing about transfers.

A mate of mine plays for crystal palace. Been charting to him obika. Says the boys got some good talent. Scored a hatrick for the reserves the other day and looks amazing in training. My mate says that once he settles he could perform very well in the palace first team. Just needs his confidence boosted.

Now to something funny. David's is installing slot of discipline at the club. During training if u are on the sane team as him and u make a mistake, prepare to get bollocked. He gas even picked up the ball and stopped the game to ask players what they were thinking and then tells them what they should b doing.

After the Pompey loss a few of the lads were laughing and joking in the changing room. David's then said to them," did we win or lose tonight?" one of them replied "lose" to which he then said " well shut up then and it isn't funny!"

My mate says try don't know what has hit them. Some other funny stuff is that they keep finding him doing kick ups in the shower and he spends an unusual amount of time soaping his arse. So much in fact it's like he's massaging it.

Thought I'd share this with u all for a giggle. When I speak to him next I'll update u!
