Well either Levy is playing a blinder and everyone will be saying he is one smart cookie after the window or he completely screws it up as everyone knows how he operates in the transfer window. I still think he has something big in the works and knows its better to keep it within the tottenham walls. 2 weeks a lot can happen, gotta have faith they know what they are doing.

It's 'obvious' if you spent an undue amount of time panicking about it and drawing whatever conclusions you like from silence. The window is still open. He's had a number of his squad rewarded with new contracts. He and his staff have new contracts. Just... relax :)

The only thing that's relaxed is the Spurs Community's metaphorical sphincter, as a significant majority of us (myself included) are in full 'sh*t your pants' mode

Still no developments as to the identity of Rebrab's mystery player either
When he dropped in yesterday I think he was just warning us that it was going to take longer than he had anticipated. We all know that these hiccups appear all the time. As long as it hasn't all gone tits up.

The only time the meltdown stalls in this thread is when someone says something sexual. Men are simple creatures - sex and football :whistle:

Thanks for the info GF, and stalling the negativity a bit (y)

So we've reached that stage in the window where this part of forum is in meltdown and the ITK's are feeling differently about how things will pan out. You'd think we'd be used to this wouldn't you :X3:

I think the harsh reality of being a spurs fan is that you have to be mentally resilient and deep down optimistic to continue to do this season after season.

Spurs fans have to be perpetual optimists.

No-one tells us this when we start supporting, though - everyone else just reckons we'll work it out soon enough.

Reminds me of the season we were all fuming we needed a dm and he had actually spent all pre-season training Dier for the position. Let's hope we see Eriksen drop deep and suddenly our desperation for a cm will simmer slightly.

I’d been thinking this but about Lamela in the middle

after near on 8years I just know I need to make sure I buy a big bag of salt, and hopefully sit back and wait for either the stamp or now days igi.

also after 8 years I also expect less as it's very hard to get better than our main starting XI, and the difficulties of signing players wanting big wages and warming the bench

I think I feel particularly irritated this summer because I spent a lot of time being the optimistic one of my friend group in previous windows with the reasoning of Levy will want to make a statement the summer we move into the stadium. That coupled with the fear that the likes of Eriksen, Dele and Poch will consider their options if it feels like we have hit our ceiling. Last season was bad enough of a feeling of ceiling reaching but we have the stadium to keep their attention this year.

I can't help feeling that this window is a golden opportunity to get the final players to make our side truly great, again. I see some people remaining optimistic, Levy appeasers will point out there's a whole two weeks to go. But that all too familiar feeling of deep down dread is beginning to grow, the one we tend to get each year as the summer window starts to evaporate in front of our eyes.

I think the main reason a lot of us are worrying or starting to worry was poch saying he wants players in for a full pre season otherwise they are behind in his plans and then effectively become a new signing for him in January a bit like Moura to poch he will be seen as a new signing after a full pre season
