I don't believe we have it in the bank no.

Those 3 would set us back around £50m. Last year we made record profits but that was partly from joes investment and was mostly used to reduce the debt and pay the £50m contract for the basement works on the stadium. We had very little cashflow thus had to balance our buys with sales.
We might be up a bit especially if edmonton is right about brookhouse but will still need to sell a couple.

I know that sounds optimistic but it's still what the ITK said and is all we have to go on. Honestly I think the wage bill is of more concern than the transfer budget. We are probably willing to spend significant money so long as we clear out enough of the high earners such as Adebayor and Lennon.

Spending say £20mill on Berahino isn't really all that risky in todays market. Very little chance his value will depreciate and his wages are much cheaper than what we have. He remains an asset.

Various ITK's have also said transfer funds are not an issue, it's the wage limit. We've already got rid of some high earners and more are expected to follow. Even with giving new contracts to the academy graduates and new signings, I still expect us to have a sizeable chunk still available to cover the wages of 2-3 quality signings.

Yeah, I was referring to what I thought is the most realistic, our MO considered. If we could only have one of the three, I'd take Kramer in a heartbeat, but then still expect another forward to come, as we simply cannot rely on Kane only, for an entire PL-season.

Ideally with PL experience, especially in DM, where MS would have been so needed for us. Nothing against the german contingent but they all yound and would need time to adapt, so if they domccome off people should not expect too much, we know this from experience ourselves.

My guess is that a German CM, be it Kramer or Bender, is 1st choice, and we'll go in for McCarthy failing either of those - which might explain the delay in a solid move for JM.

Werner is probably a simpler deal to complete, so might just be being put in place, either as a back-up to Berahino, or to be signed as well as him.

If you check the story it isn't that we are trying to get Werner, Kramer and Bender. It says we are trying for Werner and may enter talks about Kramer or Bender. So that would still fit with ITK as it would be a CM (Kramer or Bender) and a WF/CF (Werner).

But as JJ said...negotiations with the Germans are difficult to begin with and other have said that Bender and Kramer would be difficult regardless. So who knows if we would really be able to get any of them.
