It does by why would we need a cryptic for Eriksen? He's probably the most linked player of the window so far that hasn't signed other than maybe SpenceI'm comin' home, I've done my time
Now I've got to know what is and isn't mine
If you received my letter telling you I'd soon be free
Then you'll know just what to do
If you still want me, if you still want me...
Sounds a lot like Eriksen, doesn't it?
I'm comin' home, I've done my time
Now I've got to know what is and isn't mine
If you received my letter telling you I'd soon be free
Then you'll know just what to do
If you still want me, if you still want me...

I could never guess your cryptic but I really have to hand it to you for such threads over all these years. Because the possibilities you have given so many others in guessing, even if you don't intent to, plus the humour, have been absolutely amazing. I really enjoy it. ?? And I meant it.Here's another thread to replace yesterday's funfest.
I was going to post just a normal thread and resume our (my) ongoing cryptic tomorrow in order to give the funstealers a break.
But bollocks to them, there's only this one to go anyway
So here we go, the final thread in an epic trilogy...............You ready?
Here we go
Good mor i g
I hope you e joy this fi al clue
PS: I've got to know what is and isn't mine
There you go. Tomorrow you can go back to being miserable bastards taking everything far too seriously and I can go back to lurking in the shadows, emerging occasionally to give you a coating and tap someone on the noggin with the ban cosh. The thought makes me wet
Is this a clue we’ve had RIN + hobbit = lord of the Rings. Although who that would be I have no ideaDoes this make the player four n. Foreign? Who even knows. He’s tricksy that A&C hobbit.
So tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree,The first line of the song is:
"I'm comin' home, I've done my time"
"It's been three long years"I'm comin' home, I've done my time
Now I've got to know what is and isn't mine
If you received my letter telling you I'd soon be free
Then you'll know just what to do
If you still want me, if you still want me...
Sounds a lot like Eriksen, doesn't it?
Unfortunately I doubt there are any songs with lyrics relating to having been away for two and a half years so three will have to do.."It's been three long years"
Sadly Eriksen left in the January so it's only two and a half but if you round up to the nearest integer...
Ndombele…….Quickly everyone check who we were linked with three years ago
5 year contract extension incomingNdombele…….
"It's been three long years"

You say that but I’m fairly certain in the Brotherhood of Man’s version they changed the lyrics to ‘it’s been 2 and a half long years’ !Unfortunately I doubt there are any songs with lyrics relating to having been away for two and a half years so three will have to do..
Blimey he stopped playing for Spurs in 2003Quickly checks how long Sherwood has been gone.

So the first one mentioned rules, then yesterdays link to the police and now a song about being in prison. Could this all be related? No idea how it links to a player though. The song's all about someone who's been in prison and has now completed their sentence and is returning home but only if he's wanted. Eriksen makes sense, but It sounds like Bale to me as well - especially the prison sentence bit. I doubt it's him though .
3 short years then"It's been three long years"
