Or we really could be trying to sign him, and we’re having a window where we may potentially break our transfer record 3 times, plus signing youth players... Strange times.

No, tuttosport broke the story before KP and Ally did. Like 12 hours before.

There are fairly persistent rumours coming out of Italy about our interest.

So I can’t see how the PR team leak makes any sense. On the face of it, it seems obvious that it was a deliberate leak, because of who the journos were who reported it on the English side, but that doesn’t explain tuttosport breaking the story...

If it was nonsense / PR rubbish, the Italian news outlets could easily deny it....

In fact they are saying that Dybala is considering it

Yeah probably, but Eriksen out with only Lo Celso in would not fill me with confidence personally and I’m still concerned with the full back situation even if we sign Sess.

Would make sense why leaks of us having a bid rejected are coming from Juventus side. They are clearly keen to gauge and invite interest, and news of us having a bid rejected would alert other potential suitors.

Would also back KP and AGs articles which states we begin talks...but not actually bid
