If Sanchez can finally start to fulfill his potential then he could be a monster. If Tanganga can keep fit he also could become a monster. Skipp at 20 years old has slotted into the first team seamlessly. Lots of if's there but I am glad to see the two academy boys get a proper shot at the first team. Having said that - if we are getting rid of N'dombele (please) then we need some quality in midfield to replace him otherwise our options in that position are not great. I like that we seem to be targeting some of the top young players in Europe - this is exactly what I want to see from us.

Whilst Kane may have tried his hardest to move on (which you could understand) he will still put in a shift regardless, but this from N'dombele is utterly indefensible.

Dragon:

Plan for Metz kid is he is going back on loan

I cannot see anyway Kane goes now both Martínez and Florentina striker went up massively in price even if city wen to 150 it’s a terrible deal for us

re Tanguy he just does not care we cannot get him motivated , getting our money back and finding someone to pay him 200k a week is not going to be easy but that’s what we are trying to do

There will still be some on here who blame 4 managers for Ndombele’s issues.

The sooner he goes the better, I just hope Levy doesn’t piss around and end up pricing him out of a move.

Creative player swaps is the only way to save face here.

Honestly, I’d have taken that Bayern Munich deal that was offered. 20m odd and his wages off the books, plus you get in a very talented player in Tolisso. Yes Tolisso has had a terrible time of it, but if he can come out the other end of his injuries, then you’ve bagged a great player

Disappointing but considering some of the previous comments about him from a coach from his younger days, suppose it's not really surprising and shows he hasn't really matured. Finding a solution won't be easy but it's time to move him on.....we are wasting our time hoping he'll come good.

I suspect Tanguy falls into that category of footballer that doesnt really like football - his main motivations and ambitions have been to build a better life for himself and his family - now he has achieved that there is no ambition left

Our window does appear to have evolved since the season started and the Kane situation apparently turned around.
We may end up keeping who we wanted to keep, moving (most of) who we don't and bringing in five or six players with a mix of for now and the future.
Yes we have perhaps had to pass on some of the names we were obviously trying for earlier on but all in all its hopeful.

I understand that everything in life isn't rosy just because you earn a fortune every week. But seriously, not even being bothered enough to get fit? He's literally just a waste of squad space and an expensive one as well. That's just taking the piss. You don't have to love your job but it's just common decency to at least do the minimum requirement that you're paid to do.

For a footballer that should be to be ready to play if called upon. Regardless if you rather be somewhere else. We should just accept defeat - Ndombele was a catastrophic signing - Get him out and move on.

This is the last full season before a world cup, how the hell can the chance of being called up for that squad not motivate him? I'm bemused.
Some players aren't motivated by anything other that money. He signed a 6 year deal on 200k per week. That's £62.4m salary over 6 years.

He doesnt care whether he plays at the world cup or not.

And let's be honest, how the hell would N'dombele cope running around in the heat and humidity in Qatar?

The way his motivation yoyos from abject nothingness to sudden manic dedication and back again is the exact same problem I faced, symptoms of something that went undiagnosed and untreated for the vast majority of my life (by the time it was, I was older than he is now!)

I got by on talent and occasional small, concentrated, bursts of productivity - until I suddenly hit a brick wall where that wouldn't be enough anymore.

I was earlier in his time here I suggested this and was absolutely slaughtered but I really do see a lot of my own troubles in him and hope he sorts it out eventually for himself even before the club.

Its about time clubs as a collective start being more prudent, and start to introduce performance related pay. Too many players and agents taking the absolute hand with clubs.

It just worries me slightly that we have had Sanchez and Dier for a good number of years now but we want to give them another chance on the back of a little form. I would love them both to succeed especially Dier as he loves it. However form is temporary and class is permanent. We need another CB. I am however looking for to the next week and hope we can pull a few surprises.

Suspect if Aurier goes we will push through the deal for Tomiyasu, feels like one of those we have just been sitting on as it is not urgent, but his ability to play Rb or CB could be useful. Likewise if Sissoko goes, I think a first team ready CM comes in.
I’d not be against Traore coming in, as I think Nuno would benefit from getting his man in, and he does have a unique skillset, plus sounds like Wolves are open to loan so long as it is an obligation and not just an option. My only concern here is Traore is not the Kane backup we know we need, and whilst Son has done ok, he’s better coming in from wide rather than being the focal point. Fingers crossed there is a natural CF being eyed up aswell, even a project option so long as stylistically what we need.
That just brings us back round to Ndombele and how he impacts our plans? Surely there may be similar deals out there to what Bayern allegedly offered. Ndombele for all his faults would still have some serious admirers in Europe.

Well we do also have Roden and Romero and hopefully Tomiyasu joining as well. That is not a bad set of CBs. Tanganga and Davies can also play there if needed, especially in a three.
