We are alongggg way away from when val yid said we were going to cough up big for a striking option as not qualifying for top 4 is not an option. What has happened in a week ?

I trust Trix over this guy so more like 4 or 5
You have to remember things change. Sanchez looked like a Def out a week or so ago, that now looks to have changed. We wanted another CB to play as first choice. Now I'm not saying that's def changed because I haven't heard it has, but it does look like he's staying now which will have a knock on effect somehow to what we are planning.

We went from 4-5 in to 2-3, we will finish with 2 minor improvements in plus some random loan

good old Tottenham Hotspur
According to different ITKs. As far as I am aware, Trix and Herc haven’t changed their numbers. Different people have different contacts and hear different things at different times from different people. Unless one of them is Paratici or Levi…

edit: OK, so both Herc and Trix have updated in the meantime!

Wish we could replace players as quick as we decide a player is worthy of starting 11 ? (although personally I have faith in sanchez)

Sanchez and Tanganga might have changed some plans for the defence.

I assume you are referencing Sanchez...so who said we have decided he is a player worthy of the starting XI, other than you?

Things can change yes but if we start basing our transfer strategy on one good performance from a player that has been hot and cold for 4 seasons, then we're in big trouble. If Winks pulls out a 10/10 performance vs Wolves will we decide to keep him too?

We need to be ruthless and get rid of those that have let us down time and time again.

Pape Sarr and Kavartshkeila taking up 2 of the 3/4 is erm, concerning.
Personally I think they’re two players who at worst will be great squad players, and over time, even over the course of this season, could break through as more regular starters, same as Gil. Sarr especially considering what our midfield looks like, and he honestly had a better season last year than Camavinga, Aouar, Caqueret, Soumare, Renato Sanches and other Ligue 1 midfielders who a lot like/have already moved. And this is without even starting 20 games! A more proven winger with longer term past production would be nice, but I’d rather have Kvarstskhelia than someone like Adama for example. As long as a proven striker comes in, that’s the most important I think anyway.

Not just Sanchez - Tanganga staying too will have a impact.
IMO, then it makes sense to get Tomiyasu back on -so he can cover both positions and let Aurier go

This is your assumption though. Fact that, Nuno played Sanchez in first place against Arsenal & City says that, he was impressed in training...If he hadnt impressed, he would not have started both games.

It may just be call taken by Nuno. If thats the case, it is working. I am on board in that case. If in one position, Nuno can improve a current squad player, we can certainly invest in other areas

I know I’m in the minority here, but I rate Sanchez & for a young CB think he’s got a bright future. We have to remember all CBs make mistakes, especially young ones.

if anyone wants to tell me I am crazy and wrong we can take it to the player thread, ?I’m happy if he stays tho.

EDIT: @Spursrmagic really? All these posts and mine is spam ? I’d be rather upset If I cared about ratings… ???:cautious:
