It's daft though, even if we miss out on the CL we'll still have just as much of a chance of winning anything next year as them, as we'll almost certainly be in the Europa league.

Torres, Gerrard, Reina... and then they run out of good players. For us, I can go

Modric, Van der Vaart, Bale, Dawson, Lennon, BAE, Gallas/King/Kaboul, Pienaar, Gomes, are all top quality premiership players who would get into their first team, apart from possibly Gomes. Their squad depth is terrible.

A liverpool fan tried to tell me the other day that if he made a team, from both squads he'd only have Modric, lennon & Bale from our squad, and it was a close call between Cole and VDV to support torres ...........:rofl: !

SSN have no more knowledge than the normal person...

steven pienaar was announced by me for example at 1am ish, quickly followed by valenciayid if i recall, on the morning of the day he signed....

the club put it on the website later that evening at around 5 i think...i was online & SSN ticker picked it up 17!! minutes later....17!!....

basically they employ someone to look at prem clubs websites all day at intervals!

they are muppets

Obviously Liverpool pulling out doesn't necessarily mean he's coming to us, but it's certainly not going to harm our chances!

TOMMO86, who said the bindippers are about to pull out of any deal for Suarez seems to be quite well respected over on Rawk, so the 18 million bid accepted was probably BS.

But in brief, he's never said Suarez would definitely sign (99% sure but can't be fucked to go back through it all) but he has said that £17m bid was accepted, then rejected once we showed our hand. Ajax are trying to play us off against each other for the biggest bid.
