ooooh, yesterday got proper kinky with ITK with plenty of stuff happening, a bit of which flew in the face of previous info, which I guess is part and parcel of the whole thing and goes to show why liberal sprinklings of salt should always be applied.

Right, we'll crack on with POTL, interesting what he had to say about Gallas..........
Who: POTL
When: 19/08
Site: COYS
Just thought I would give you a few bits as we near the end of the transfer window. I see many stories and info passed on and comment on some of it, but not all. Here are a few bits to keep your eye out for:
Remy- Club have been monitoring him for a while, We have made a bid that was rejected as it was lower than the asking price, with Marseille making a big last night, we will go back in with another one- but again will not overpay.
Young- Same situation as before, Villa don't want to sell, but recognise an opportunity to take a few of our players that they could do with and make some money at the same time. Wages are a problem our end as he is already on 60k pw, and we are going to have to increase by at least 10k.
Richards- This one is going to drag on. City don't want to sell to us, but the player would like to come, if we put in a suitable enough bid 8-10m, the player will demand to speak to us.
Gallas- Talking to his people about a 1 year deal- asking for ridiculous wages- DL not keen.
Huntelaar- Available for loan with a fee from Milan with an agreed price at the end. Still being looked into.
Parker- Harry would love the player at WHL, WHU do not want to do business with us, If we raise our offer to 10m, then the club would have to look at it. Same as Young, Player would love to come.
Jenas- Being monitored by a couple of clubs in Italy- Juve particular interest- player hesitant as recently married and has a daughter from another relationship in UK. Waiting to see developments with Villa.
Naughton- Available for loan
Hutton- Available for transfer- B'ham a possible destination- we are trying to get as much back as we paid for him- unlikely, but expect him to leave.
Keane- Looks like he will be staying.......
Gio- Being looked at in Italy and Spain- could leave on a permanant transfer- dubbed a 'pre season' player at the lodge.
Luka/Defoe- Both having scans this morning. Will update later
There are a few things I havn't posted, but they will depend on qualification next Wednesday. Next week is absolutely HUGE, we simply HAVE to qualify. Will update as things change.
Be positive,
POTL
Most reports have Gallas taking a wage cut to sign. Pass the salt.....

Then we had some info from FTL
Who: GlennSpurs
When: 19/08
Site: FTL
Carlton Cole; not good news i know but we are showing interest again for him
The same CC who just pledged his future to West Ham? Salt please!

By now my salt shaker is in danger of being replaced by a gritting lorry.......
Who: Dazzaherring
When: 19/08/10
Site: COYS
Been told Deal for gallas to join us has been done in principal.
IF we win on Wednesday then he will be signed. IF we go out of the champions league then we will not take up the option. Player is aware
The only plus side of Tuesday night was that arry was able to show Levy that we need a CB for CL as we cannot rely on daws & bassong if ledley is not fit.

But having said that i was also told that we made contact for fabiano yesterday morning and continued negotiations. But seeing as he played for sevilla in the CL last night i can only assume that info was wrong

Wasnt sure of this was worth posting as it goes against POTL re Keane
But i was also told that we are willing to offer keane and o'hara for C Cole
A lot of contrary info coming out it seems and the win on wednesday stuff seems to be off the mark, but as we know, things can change........

Then the identity of the mystery 'big player' was revealed!
Who: ryantegan
When: 19/08/10
Site: Spurs Community

The amazing player that was mentioned by Harry last week, is not as earth shattering as you may of thought. Especially considering it had some column inches.

Harry didnt want to name him because he has the utmost respect for his manager and the "BIG CLUB" he plays for.

Step forward one Stephen Pienaar.

also looks likely that Marseille stole a march on us regarding Remy. We wont fully comit until Thursday.

tried to keep this post unpersonal for my sources benefit

coys
Meh. Not anywhere near exciting or 'big' for me..........Filed under damp squib.

The Gallas medical broke on SSN followed pretty quickly by a machine gun burst of ITK as they fell over themselves to post.......

Bang! POTL said that......
Phantom of the Lane regarding the Gallas news :this has not gone down well with the our squad-let me assure you. Nor me.
I'm not surprised. The only thing that's ever gone down well with our squad is Danielle Lloyd.......Thinking about it, the news was only breaking last night so i'm not entirely sure how 'squad opinion' could be firmed up so quickly........

Bang! Dragon1...............ITK's were eager to show that they were, indeed in the loop........
Dragon1 on COYS regarding Gallas :not coming for the dosh, msassive drop in wages wants premiership footy and stay in london
Yeah, I read that in one of the papers today. Am I being cynical?

Bang! More Gallas info out of the woodwork...........or Tree......
Who BEN
Date 19th August

Site FTL:
luca def out sat prob wed too players aslo going mad about pitch but are confident thell see them right off 2nd game..

gallas isnt sky sports rubbish his def booked in for tommorow to have it done
Where was all this before it broke on SSN or the BBC?

A good day for volume of ITK, but a bad day for ITK if you know what I mean.

Now what's in the papers........
Tottenham are set to offer £6m for Everton midfielder Steven Pienaar, who has just one year remaining on his contract, and secure the services of Read Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra on a loan deal. (Daily Mail)
It's the Mail. So it's probably bullshit.

And that's about it. Apart from the Gallas stuff and we all know what's happening there don't we? He's demanding huge wages but accepting less, he'll sign after Wednesday's game but before this Saturday's match. The squad aren't happy, but haven't actually been asked.

The ITK Discussion Thread. Sponsored by Saxa. Great stuff isn't it!

ANd only 11 more days to go, enjoy the ride!

Oh and congrats to my sister who just had a baby. She said it was the most difficult thing she's ever done.......Obviously never had to ask for a 'cream pie' in a cake shop, without smirking.

Nice round-up A & C.

Not too keen on the Gallas deal, as I'm sure most of you will agree with, but being linked to Diarra is something i'm happy with!

If redknap thinks he can do something for the team then i will get behind Gallas even thought who he has played for and what he has done, untill he does something with us then i dont hold it against him

This was in my inbox this morning from Ackie. Some interesting stuff that ties in with some comments made late last night from jolengend I believe:

Ackie said:
Here's some pinch of salt stuff! Mancini has been given money to spend and they expect BIG things, so should he not get to a good start, then he will lose his job - December evaluation. The next in line for the job will be Harry!!!
Although, Harry has made Spurs 'his club' now and the only job that he'll ever move from spurs to will be England Manager! but you never know - money talks.
Do you remember? Well, I read that someone has got info for Arry for England. So, I recalled contact:
He answered: it's probable...but Man City looking for Redknapp and has been PROBABLY one of the HIDDEN reason why they won't sell to us - (not confirmed!) If Harry gets the player he wants and is doing good at Spurs and Mancini messing up, Harry wouldn't want to come.
By the way, Harry has made Spurs his baby and will do his best for us and the only job that he says he will leave us for is England.

Players: They maintain Harry's reunion a BIG probable.

Pinch of salt again: Maybe another player today - trying very hard. A loan in perhaps!

The rumour about us not having money is NOT true! We want stars! They want CL and our qualification gives us more finance to do that:
1. attract them
2. pay them
3. sponsors

The Anelka rumour is true. Anelka wouldn't mind coming to Spurs.

Can't see Harry being high on City's list of replacements personally but interesting none the less and some ITK to start the day.

Don't understand this 'massive wage' problem with free transfer players first J Cole and now Gallas .

Give the fuckers the 40,000 per week that they want OVER what weekly wage we are offering ... In A Lump Sum on signing .

These players are in a different category compared to the regular transfer deals . Hasn't anyone noticed ?

'weekly wage' is just a red herring . How much money is transferred from our club to a player per week is simply irrelevant when making this sort of deal .

Why does anelka's name keep popping up? Would have thought he was happy at Chelsea.

The jolegend ITK is a real show stopper.

Harry to England
Parker to Chelsea
Anelka to us

Would love Anelka but surprised they would want to sell him.

It's all getting madder and madder as far as I can tell.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sandro is the only player we sign this summer to be honest, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

New faces will put some urgency in to some of our players wh o have been maybe getting too casual regarding their status in the team.

I am sober now although the drive in to work was a challenge this morning!

I re-read what I posted last night and it's all as I was told so there were no drunken ramblings in there.

Anelka would be massive for us although it is unlikely.

From the limited amount of information that I can find about this guy he looks ideal. Young, strong, scores plenty of goals - anyone know more about him?

I'd love Anelka but didn't he recently sign a new contract there?

So Harry off to England or Eastlands, eh? As most know I'm no Harry fan but he's done well for us. But hearing that he's off later seems nuts to not get in a replacement now when the window is still open

Oh, didn't Harry also sign a new contract? I wonder how much compensation we'll get if any?

Remember when Harry said that we nearly signed a big player from a big club, well it has to be Anelka, as it all ties in with anelka saying we could win the league.
