Maybe, just maybe, don’t speculate?
What? Why not? I'd it not nice to chat with people who they think it may be? Kind of the joy of the transfer window isn't it. I don't want to clog up the wrong place thought, hence asking
Discussing the ITK? Maybe the ITK Discussion Thread :p

It really depends on what you mean by "speculation" though. If it's randomly throwing out the names of every single HG player abroad, then maybe it's not a good idea.
Haha yeah exactly. Don't want to go that far but would be nice to talk to people about who exactly that could be as it's quite a niche set if parameters so one could probably work out a bit of a shortlist.

Maybe this is just the wrong platform to do so though, so thought I'd check!

There's a discussion already in the Bellingham thread. That's maybe the better place to "speculate" on HG names.

Cheers for the info as ever both Trix and What Lies Beneath.

Seeing what you’ve said here and previously, needless to say it’s far easier to find more suitable players overseas than homegrown ones, who also come at a premium.

Re What Lies Beneath said, I can see Tanganga staying and one of the more fringe/regularly benched overseas players being moved on - maybe on deadline day - to free up another more suitable overseas player slot who’d go straight into the first team. Not mentioning name in here for obvious reasons, but oldest out first would probably make sense for continuity.

I just hope we’ll be buying a top class first team player/s, not mixing and matching for transfers sake. We do have £50m+ left after all!

Thanks for the info ?.. HG's from abroad ... is that because we think they are easier to get or cheaper than in the Premier League, Championship etc... ? ... my impression is that it's not easy to do deals with the Serie A, Ligue 1 or La Liga-clubs if we go to the south of Europe. Paratici or not.

I know the good HG-players in England will also cost a fair bit, but we got a good deal for Spence, although we should stop dealing with Gibson ?

Of course it depends on the quality of the HG players we are looking at as well I guess...

Thanks for the info Trix as always!
The one thing I'm mostly positive about is that we seems to have a plan and working on that.
It's FP and AC that discuss the players they want and then we go for them if possible. Before i always had a feeling we was looking for a bargain and not a specific player.

Thanks Trix, with the good business we did early I think a lot of us assumed there'd be more and it became clear if so it would be late on and you seem to be confirming that.
There's a temptation to think a late buy may be a rushed buy but if we want evidence of what Fabio can do late on we only need to look at the last January window.
I must say Its nice to be relaxed going into the last weeks.

I also wouldn't rule out the likes of Zaniolo and Bastoni either. We are still very much interested if things were to align.
Cheers again Trix ? Those 2 together would probably mean we’d served up the perfect transfer window this summer. Here’s hoping!

I've maintained hope with Bastoni. The CB group would be down to 5 if Tanganga moves on and Conte seems to want at least 2 per position.
Inter historically have been hard to deal with but that would be some cherry on top of an already stellar window.
