Just bumped into Tim Sherword this evening at a petrol station in Hemel Hemstead. Had a brief chat with him about the game on Sunday which he said he watched on the box and I asked if he'd heard any news on Willian.

He said :

Man U have made a bid for him.

His agent is pushing him to Liverpool.

Willian himself wants to come to Spurs.

Passing this info on in good faith.

I've always said that Willian's agent is worse than Hitler.

Thanks for the info. If the third statement is true(on Tim's part, not yours), I can't see why we shouldn't be able to push this move through.

I appreciate the info but i cant see man utd bidding for Willian, Baines and Fellaini all in one day with the amount of money being battered about but thats IMO.

Well out of the 3 I know which one is the most signifcant to me!

I read that cyrptic as Sherwood would say that we were Willian's preferred destination, although Liverpool were being pushed by his agent and.....I don't know.....something about the way he said it, makes me think that United might be involved too.

I think sounding out what the player wants or even agreeing in principal some personal terms is common practice before a formal bid is submitted.

I think as someone stated a few weeks back Sherwoods role is a lot different to what we know and he is higher up then we think.
