If Sevilla are interested in a swap deal, perhaps we could swap Gil with a more mature and physically imposing winger.

I know Sevilla has that Lamela guy? Looked handy in the friendly, not sure how he'd fare in the PL though.
Not gonna lie, I would love Coco back in this Conte squad

Maybe we're going to swap Reguilon for Gonzalo Montiel. I mean Romero and Richarlison got a bit fiery with eachother once, then jumped in for Son when Montiel got in his face. It's like the players start a fight with the next signing like some sort of initiation. Montiel walks in to meet Richarlison and Romero for the first time and Forster is on high alert again.

Only one way to find out I guess

'we need to move some bodies out before things get going again on incomings , its surprised me as conte passed on eriksen but he does like maddison , leis are not sellers currently

once gio, rodon , winks go we have offers on all but not at right levels yet I expect more signings as I have said I expect one big defensive signing , I think they will test leist resolve on maddison towards end of window'

I can't imagine Leicester selling him late in the window.

Surely if we want him it's better to make a move now? Then at least they have time to get a replacement.

Depends what they can get out of Tielemans. Maybe it’s more lucrative to sign Tielemans to an inflated one year plus a release clause. Sell Maddison this window.

if Tielemans ends up going for 10, Maddison risks going for 30 next year. Why not keep Tielemans for another year and sell Maddison for 50-60.

I’m sure they have clues who could be his replacement at least.

I assume we need outs for squad size concerns more than for financial reasons?
Would say both. Not transfer fees…wages, wages winks, rodon, ndombele, Gio and reggy is probably 400-500k weekly wages we would want rid of

Suggests to me spence in and that’s it for start of season
Yup. I think people will leave it late to pay up for them, and so the domino effect - ie others need to replace the players we’re buying - will leave little time to enable the deals to happen

I reckon we’ll be opportunistic for a CB and an AM late in the window; but I don’t think they’re crucial and I’m sure we won’t get legged over on price.

I’m pretty comfortable with that, all things considered. Good job, well done so far

that seems to fly in the face of all other itk and journal information. The notion of needing to sell before buying. first time anyone has said this. Interesting.

Well, we can’t simply bring in 6/7 first team players and not sell? For once we’ve tried to get our in players dealt with first. Notion being we also need players out. Even wage wise, they still need shifting.

yes and no. I think that after 6 incomings it's ok to wait for some to leave before buying more. We could be left with some serious egg on our face if we spend another 60-70mil and then trying our hardest to get rid of players at the end of the window or else we'd be stuck with an unbelievably massive wage bill for players that aren't playing

Yes, I agree.
But from the outside, it looks like only TD doesn't have any suitors at this time. We have offers for most others we want to move on (and some we don't).
At the end of the day, it will be about balancing the books to the agreed levels.

Leicester have 10 players whose contract expire in 2023 & another 7 whose contracts expire in 2024.
One way or other we will see Leicester trying to move players on . There are no incomings as of now- so something’s got to give .Lets hope for our sake Maddison comes on for sale - also let’s not forget player angle who may want CL now than hang around in a club that could go backwards
