Not seen much of him, but playing for Swansea and seeing how good their defence has been, it doesn't fill me with much hope!

Would just be a massive waste of money.

De Ligt for me is an exception because of his age and talent, but Mawson? Fuck me. He'd cost £30-40m when we'd already have 3 centre halves leagues above him ability wise.

I'd argue even Foyth would look good if he played regularly for Swansea.

Sounds about right. If the plan is to go 3 at the back next season then I'd be ok with signing him as a backup and for nothing more than £15m

They had a better defense than Everton, in terms of goals conceded. Swansea's problems were at the other end really.

But Mawson is a step above the others in that squad, at good price he would be a good piece of business.

De Ligt would be a great buy for us. Almost 60% of this season we played with back 2 CB with Jan & Sanchez. So, IMO De Ligt can take his time to get used to the rigors of PL. Moreover its not like he is not used to big time. He played in EL final only 12 months before. And since then he has matured even more.
It would be absolute delight to get De Ligt

Appreciate it Herc. Genuinely want to this summer to be the one promised and requested by Poch instead of the one expected and dragged out and repeated. Until Poch signs a new contract though I don't think my heart will truley be at ease.
