Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Richarlison from Everton this summer, The Athleticunderstands.
The north London club are not believed to have made an offer so far for the 25-year-old, who is currently on international duty with Brazil. It is thought they will only move for him at what they deem to be the right price.

Richarlison among a number of options Spurs are considering this window as they seek to strengthen their squad.

Everton would be looking to receive a higher fee than the €60 million (£51 million) that has been reported for Richarlison, but sources feel they are unlikely to achieve that.

The Goodison Park side need to make sales this summer. Some close to the club believe the move has a good chance of happening in this window.

Statistically for Brazil he has a better goal ratio than Jesus and Rapinha and are all the same age. I’d say the fee is what you’d expect to mot for any of these players.

I would say Raphinha is definitely the best of the bunch however I do prefer Richarlison to Jesus.

This type of thinking really annoys me (and you are not the only one with this view as most of the media does as well). When the season starts we and the Liverpools and Man Cities of this world will all start at 0. Its not a case that they will continue to have 30 points (or whatever the amount is) head start!
You 1000% correct we all start at Zero.......BUT it's the quality of the respective squads.... goals scored and goals conceded. Early days... let's see what additions are done between now and the start of the season.

Yes, now we have a sound argument!

That line from Ornstein saying people around Everton think the deal might happen is quite telling really.

Add that to the Brazil leak which suggests the player is keen and I would wager that this one happens.

Even more so if Winks gets worked into the deal.

Well we have already improved the team with Perisic alone and Spurs was 3rd best team in PL second half of the season so improvements will make us at least in a position to compete, I also think Conte will have one eye on CL due to the fact European competitions seem to be his achilles heel.

Richarlison could be our Diego Costa. Except that Conte hated Costa and tried to get him out of Chelsea.

We are talking to a few striker options aside from Richarlison. If we can deal at realistic price we would firm up. Three or four others, some known, and a couple not. Conte loves Richarlison though.

I think Scamacca was mentioned as top choice previously but this sounds like Richarlison is now preferred if viable.

I think Everton will be desperately hoping another big Club comes in for him...bidding war etc.

If we get a clear run it'll get done imo...they need the funds.

I really don’t like Richarlison but if we do sign him then hopefully he proves to be a Dele-type character that you love when he plays for you but that opposition fans hate. Bring us another arrogant piss boiler like Dele in his prime and we’d all be happy.

Hence the potential bidding war! I agree!

Orny source seems to be Everton side, while AG is Spurs...and the Portuguese dude who broke the news in morning , is probably Richarlison's agent pushing the agenda.
At the very least, all 3 sides have shown interest - so Richarlison is certainly a possibility. Who we will go for probably depends on how we fill other key positions like LCB.
At this stage, I see these stories only in positive light.

Sounds to me like he’s an option for us this summer and the Portuguese guy has jumped the gun. Nothing more than that at this stage.

Apparently Arsenal are very interested in signing him. No news about big clubs yet though

Someone posted stats the other day showing Perisic has barely ever played on the right. You don’t bring in a WC LWB and put them on the right.

Anyway still think it’s a strange one. Interesting news on Richarlson too
I wouldn't suggest putting him on the right.

Just he has played both LWB and further forward in his career.
