I see the end of window meltdown has begun early this year. Relax lads still loads of time left and this is a completely unprecedented time that deals are likely to go right to wire as opportunities present themselves.

Please don't get this thread locked by going OTT on it all. Take a step away from the computer/phone, take a deep breath and go knock one out to relax.

Thanks for the ITK updates @Trix & @Hercules

Speaking about Sanchez I always thought there was a player in there. He was superb in his first season. He’s got all the attributes of a top PL defender but needs to stay switched on

Are we just sat waiting for a proper Kane bid to come in,(that may never happen) before bidding ourselves. As good as Sunday is, we are still 3-4 players short of being a quality team. Need to crack on with it. Was expecting fireworks this week from the ITK we had.

I refuse to believe we will be left with a half-hearted Kane all season. Even if Son goes ST, we'd need more than Bergwijn to challenge top 4.
If its Kane staying and no st/goalscoring wide forward signs, that is absolutely poor and inexcusable.

We’re really not in a position to challenge for top 4 though are we. That’s just not where we are as a club right now. That’s why it’s so important to get this transfer window right. In two weeks we’ll find out if we’ll be in a position to challenge for top 4 in the 2022/3 season or if we’ve found our new equilibrium.

Yes and getting the transfer window right certainly includes bringing a top forward in. We all know Kanes situation. He either goes now or stays another year at most. We need to start preparing for the future NOW, I really want to maintain my confidence but it is quickly dropping now. That of course can change instantly.

I'm thinking Sanchez could have a good season alongside Romero, they both speak the same language and that can be a good help to both, i would definitely prefer that partnership rather than Dier and Romero, Sissoko came good so why not Sanchez.

Think Herc is saying we are going to bring in a CF regardless and we trust Scarlett to be the support striker alongside Kane and the new striker. But if Kane goes we'll bring in another striker, so we'll have two new strikers plus Scarlett.

At least I think so

Hope so

if kane money or other sales come in,bigger budget and better quality of player?

"We have an established budget for our ‘INS’
It will not effect the 3-4 players we have earmarked"

So the potential Kane money will not affect the 3/4 players that we want.

INS & OUTS LATEST
We have an established budget for our ‘INS’
It will not effect the 3-4 players we have earmarked, and advanced to bring in. For clarification, we will bring them in regardless of ‘OUTS’

OUTS-We are negotiating loan deals, more than sales. Sanchez not available. His choice! He wants to prove himself (?-Hope I have not speaky-speaky too early). Sales extremely slow! Winks has loads of interest, but refusing to even speak to potential clubs, as he wants to stay until at least January, and prove himself. He has been told best he moves on. Serge, Sissoko slow interest. Serge likely to be ‘loaned’ if we can’t sell. It he may ‘possibly’ prove difficult. Sissoko top pro, and loved by all, though he wants new pastures. If does not happen he will be too pro about it.

All main action next week, as for other PL clubs.
I would assume a loan fee for Aurier plus his wages off the books would be seen as a similar outcome to selling him for a few million, given his contract is up next summer anyway.

Disappointing that this huge overhaul looks like it's not gonna happen again due to us being unable to shift our deadwood.

No no no, most people are letting yesterday’s game cloud their judgement. Sure Sanchez and Dier had a great game yesterday and have it in them to have a great game every now and then but their problems is consistency. IMO these 2 have had more than long enough to show they can consistently be good defenders but they have both failed. They both need to be upgraded.

He just doesn't have the technique to reach the level we require of him

You know what, I LOVE hearing that our players want to stay and prove they are good enough to play for Spurs, regardless of my fancying them or not as a player. ?

Some are forgetting we finished 7th. Ali Gold posted numerous times early on in the window about the players who were earmarked to be shipped out. Are we to expect better than 7th this coming season with the same players? The rebuild simply has to happen.

Also, relying on 17 year old Dane Scarlett is unfair on the lad AND the fans.

it’s not enough.

I've never really been a fan of Sanchez, but was thoroughly impressed with his performance on Sunday. For me his problem has always been one of composure and his poor reading of the game rather than his technique, so he could easily step up to the level required if everything starts to click.

We finished 7th, it's also quite clear bigger problem was Mourinho than players. Romero and Bryan will also be important part of squad.

No one said we will be relying on Dane, meltdown on this is really funny
