What I will say about Pau Torres, is he isn’t perfect, but I think he is a perfect fit next to Romero because each of their weaknesses is the other’s strength. Pau struggles at times in the channels with pace and aerially. Romero is elite at aerial duels and jockeying in the channels against quick players. Romero is average on the ball in terms of progressive passing, and he leaves space in behind when pressing up, although the latter isn’t a bad thing because more than not he gets it spot on. Pau’s positioning and covering of defensive partners is one of his best attributes, and his progressive passing both through the air and on the ground is elite. I would say that although it’s a good pair, these players are almost complete opposites, and that sometimes isn’t the best, and I do want both CBs to be good in the air, but in terms of what the defence is still missing, Torres has all of the attributes and does them at an elite level.
