Shame about Fulham, I think their manager is doing the right things and they are definitely improving I just hope it's not too late.
I can't help thinking that all the other managers down there have got a bit of fight about them too whereas Keegan talks the talk and never walks the walk.
Hodgeson at Fulham is a highly respected manager across the world, wasn't he at Inter?
Bruce at Wigan has experience of this dog fight.
Mcleish at Brum has a good track record in Scottish football.
Keane at sunderland, he's Brian Keane and thats enough.
Coppell at Reading, although I think they are safe anyway
Megson at Bolton, ok doesn't inspire me but Bolton can just grind out results, Atletico anybody?

Plus they haven't got a Klinsmann for their relegation fight.

I want to see Fulham stay up and because of that I wish that Hodgson would take the shackles off them.

They aren't a great team and they aren't generally going to be able to defend out draws. I know they have a poor defence but I just wish Hodgson would say it's not working the defensive way so lets go out and have a go at teams and see what happens. If they do that at the Toon they mightjust get a result.

If newcastle are going to win anywhere, it'll be at White Hart Lane. Mark my words.

That would, of course, be Sod's Law. On the other hand, they probably used up their supply of Get out of Jail cards at the Lane last season.

I would love for Newcastle to go down.

I really want Sunderland to stay up, have a lot of respect for what Roy Keane is trying to do and I think given time he'll do well at the Stad of Light...

It would be soo dam funny if the Geordies played in the Championship next season.

But tbh With Derby and Fulham down already I think Wigan or Bolton will drop.

Fulham aren't down already, they're just looking the likeliest to join Derby.

As Ledge said, the Barcodes' next two games are against the Brummies (away) and Fulham (home). If they fail to get four points out of those they really are up shit creek.

The reappointment of Keegan should help us all remember
to be careful what we wish for......

Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.

Not sure they will go down.My honest opinion is they will survive, but one things for sure,Kevin Keegan and Dennis Wise have their work cut out in the summer trying to assemble something that looks like a decent premier league squad.

my prediction a few weeks ago was:

Fulham/Bolton
Newcastle
Derby

reading and birmingham surviving by a point or 2. reading have pulled away since though

it was a bit too easy to make sure Newcastle went down though

I agree. The longer Newcastle are a shambles, the better chance we have of nicking 6 points from them every season. With Keegan in charge the shambles continues.

It would be funny, though, if they got relegated.

Heh. if Birmingham beat Newcastle, Bolton beat Wigan, and Sunderland nick a point off Chelsea, which are all possible, Newcastle will be in the relegation zone come Sunday evening.

That pleases me.

After Fulham won today and showed they have some fight in them, Newcastle don't appear to have any guts at all.
I'd say poor Newcastle, but they'll get what they deserve...nothing

It's more to do with how many points Bolton & Sunderland are going to get really, as I think Newcastle are terminally ill at the moment. If the former two can pick up a couple of wins and draws then Newcastle should go down as I really can't see them winning.

If they get beat by Birmingham and don't get all 3 points at home to Fulham, then they will really be filling their pants.

Saying that, we are only 7 points clear of them! So I try not to laugh to hard for now.

I thought Fulham were superb today (as far as one can judge from MOTD). Everton seemed to be having the same post-UEFA hangover as us and have an appalling record at the Cottage, but it was a great win.

Looking at Fulham's fixtures. and knowing they've got McBride (one of the most underrated strikers in the EPL), Johnson and Bullard back, it wouldn't surprise me if they turned over the Barcodes and staged a miracle escape.

Fulham seem to have turned into Spurs Old Boys. Davies, Krazy, Salty, Murphy… Again, as far as one can judge from MOTD, Salty's been pretty impressive at RB.

On current form I can only see them getting three draws out of their last 8 games (Home Fulham, Reading, Sunderland & Chelsea - Away Spurs, Pompey, W Ham & Everton). That would see them relegated.

Id love it if they went down, I'd really love it!
