A dedicated section in each stand would be better, you only need for certain key areas to be loud for the vibe to spread about. I'd also sit them at the front of the stands, I think the 'quiet but willing' folk are probably a lot more likely to join in if they can see the 1882 lads having a good time in front of them.

After AVB's comments, maybe it's time for more of us regular fans to put pressure on the club to work harder with 1882?
I really think it is. Something needs to be done.

I'm glad AVB's comments have come before our next two home games are games where 1882 have a block.

I'm happy to e-mail/write the club but it would be interesting to hear a statement first from 1882 on the matter to see what their latest plans are.

Are there any areas without season ticket olders? I thought there weren't.

If true, it's going to be difficult due to the distribution of season ticket holders. If any don't want to be a part of it then they will have to be moved. Some will not embrace the 1882 spirit but won't want to be moved which will undermine the movement. I think 1882 would be most successful as 1) opt-in but 2) should contain non-season ticket holders to "freshen" things up somewhat.

Sorry, but what is it with this perception that season ticket holders are to blame for the malaise in the atmosphere?

I sing my lungs out most games, some games more than others admittedly. I embrace anyone who contributes to a better atmosphere at the lane, but this blaming season ticket holders and pedastalling 1882 is a little disrespectful if I am being honest.

That's not specifically aimed at you, or knocking 1882. After all, I do believe we are all for the same cause.

There must be some season ticket holders sitting near each other that would be willing to join the 1882 movement and there could well be some that are willing to move seats, maybe the club if serious about improving the atmosphere, could offer them a reduction on their next seasons renewal for their trouble? It would be difficult to sort out but not impossible.

I'm not blaming season ticket holders specifically but think that us non-season ticket holders should be given a fair chance to contribute.

It's extremely frustrating being a non-season ticket holder at the best of times - especially when you get accused of being a fairweather fan. Not all of us were in a financially-secure position to buy a season ticket even if we wanted one. We are stuck at the back of a 30,000+ line that, thanks to StubHub, will never decrease.

We have to be careful it doesn't turn into an us-versus-them thing but both sides show each other respect.

Back to the 1882 movement.......... Does anyone know if they're congregating at a certain pub before the Hull game?

Always the Brickies for 1882. Obviously because tomorrow is a 1st team match day, the pubs will all be busy anyway. But when it's a youth team game, it's always the Brickies.

After AVB's comments yesterday, which i think he was right to say, i think for the first 5 minutes or so of the Hull game on wednesday night we need a chorus of "AVB's blue and white army"

Tomorrow completely sold out, but I'm sure there will be one going spare if you ask @LoveTheShirt to retweet your tweet asking for a ticket.

Block 35 for Sheriff has plenty of seats left, but mainly at the front (1882 plan was to buy as near the back as possible).

Oops yeah, definitely Wednesday!

For Hull, the whole area is sold out, all the way along the east upper.

For Sheriff, there are a few seats towards the back of block 36. They might still catch the atmosphere.

Which area is the 1882 section? Would love to get involved next time I buy a match ticket (likely to be for the WBA game on Boxing Day).

I'm actually going to Newcastle but i'm East Stand E already, not sure if that's anywhere near?

As it stands, there isn't a permanent 1882 section. There may be in the future, but that's a long way off. At the moment, the guys who organise it only ask the club to allocate us a block for the lesser first team games (so it is easier for us all to buy together). We also go to youth games at WHL + away games if they are in the local area.

For news of when a block has been allocated to 1882, follow @LoveTheShirt on twitter. They'll always give a block before the tickets go on sale.

The 1882 Movement gets a couple of mentions in this article: http://www.football365.com/mailbox/8996730/Mails

Glad it's getting a bit of recognition.

I think they're more likely to ask the stewards to make the singers sit down because they're blocking their view.
