Simple really for me, keep the same side as before which won't please the likes of Defoe, Kranjcar and Pienaar, it does allow for Parker and King further time to recuperate for what will be a pivotal match against Man City.

It also allows Dawson and Livermore who performed so well against Everton a chance to continue their good form against a fairly similar outfit in Wolves.

Potentially, we could have a fantastic bench including King, Parker, Kranjcar, Pienaar and Defoe - that's a lot of talent and game changers aplenty.

So the team for me is;

Friedel

Walker Dawson Kaboul BAE

Lennon Livermore Modric Bale

VdV

Adebayor

I'm gonna say same team as well. Give Parker maximum chance of making City.

Yep can't argue with that and its what I would go for, although I have a sneaky feeling that Defoe might start for some reason.

Expect Wolves to go 4-5-1 and they'll probably have two hard hitters in Henry and Frimpong in their midfield.

As much as Defoe, Kranjcar and Pienaar could do with games under their belt, I can't see the justification of changing a winning formula and in doing so would likely see Livermore relegated to the bench which doesn't send out the right message for a lad who performed so well yesterday.

Parker has to start for me, especially a game like Wolves which is real tough. Any news on whether Sandro and King will be back for City?

I was tempted to saty put Defoe in there too and rest VdV maybe, although if Defoe gets a knock we are screwed for the City game.

Don't think Wolves will be that much more cynical than Fellaini, Neville & co which we coped with despite not much protection from the ref - Parker's presence will be needed much more against City than rushed back against Wolves.

Leave Parker out as he is one yellow card away from a suspension. Would hate him to play against Wolves, pick up a yellow card and be out of the City game. Plus the rest will do him good and I think we can cope without on Saturday.

I think Defoe may start ahead of VdV in order to preserve VdV's hamstrings for the Man City game.

That's what I'd be tempted to do anyway.

There was an amnesty on Jan 1st for anyone approaching 5 yellows. The next ban comes when they reach 8 (I think).

Yeah give Parker the extra rest for the City game. Livermore was very good last night and deserves to be in the team for Saturday.

Agree with the comment that this is a game for Dawson, plenty of aerial battles...particularly with Fletcher who is very good in the air.

The only change could be to give VDV a little rest with Defoe coming in but then again Defoe coming off the bench could be just the ticket if its tight with half an hour to go.

Haven't the yellow cards reset as we're now in January? Isn't he back to none?
